This is something that's often overlooked in Mlp but true nonetheless, the color of a Unicorn's/Alicorn's eyes are reflective of their Magical Aura. Sweetie Belle's is Green, Twilight's is Purple, Rarity's being Blue etc. etc.
If Fluttershy was born as a Unicorn her Magical Aura would be Teal like her eyes.

Um, Celestia's aura is golden actually, after season 3... I guess? and Cadance aura is light blue with pink eyes.
I think the aura's colour is used to be the same as eyes colour but changed in midseason to bassed on cutie mark dominant colour.
So Fluttershy can be Teal(eyes) or Pink(cutie mark) depending which you prefer.
Edit, IIRC Sunset Shimmer has a cyan aura like her eyes.

I think those can be explained as to how they ascended, raising the sun all by herself during the founding of Equestria her horn glowed brightly as the golden sun to upon completion, her cutie mark had appeared as well her wings.
As for Cadence, she was a simple Pegasus residing in an Earth Pony Village who successfully completed the Crystal Heart Spell. The Magic of the Crystal Ponies and the Crystal Heart now being a part of her.
