Hey there, my name is bcsnakeeyes, i dont know who will reply to this blog but as the title says i need help. The problem i require is a simple one, coming up with a name for a bad guy in a story im about to write. This story is going to be a 3 parter pretty much. The first will be in the past in a beautiful kingdom of Alicornia(the name of it might be changed later since until i get a bad guy name i wont be writing the first part.) where all races live in peace and harmony ruled by the royal family and their elite gaurd the celestial knights, that is until the bad guy comes in and wants to destroy everything. (basically im thinking this badguy is the god/goddess of destruction and chaos, hell im thinking he/she is the one that gave discord his powers, in the first place.) As for what this bad guy can do that will include shapeshifting, hence why i havnt decided on the gender, and becoming mist where he/she can imbue part of himself/herself into another pony, or creature. Ok i think that's enough of telling about that part of the story. The next part takes place in difedrent time periods, luna and celestia are kids- to the downfall of discords first ruling(maybe, havn't decided yet, given time and flow restraints), up to the nightmare moon incedent. Finally the 3rd and most(hopefully), best part of the story arc will be of the time period after discords second release, where my main character from the 2nd and 3rd will have to combat the foe from the 1rst part using not only the elements of harmony but, something else , which i'm not going to tell unless you mail me.
Ok that being said, the main character of the second and third story will be an alicorn(the last male alicorn actually, given the events at the start of the 2nd story.)
Anywho, ive rambled enough on to the question/s:
-Can anyone help me by giving me a good name for this very powerful entity that will be featured in 2 and hinted at in 1? ive curently got black star, super nova and kaenas, yeah the names stink i think. Oh i forgot to mention if you give me the name i will credit you coming up with it.
-My next question can be sumed up into one, that being said i need to come up with names for the mane 6's ancestors in the first story, basically im thinking at least twilight;'s has to be an alicorn, given how much power she has, maybe pinkie pie's will also be one seeing as she can defy gravity and break the 4rth wall. so what im asking is for names i can use for the story, that will be used throught the first story for the ancestors, and like the previos quedstion you will be credited for the names that were given?
So to sum it up i need help i basically have the story laid out mostly in my head how its supposed to play out, i just need names that i can use, oh and one more thing im not using tirak or discord as the main badguy in the first one, with how im invisioning it tirak and discord are tame compared to what this bad guy is planning.
So if you could help me that would be Greatly Appreciated.
* Name for an all-powerful Baddie who is supposedly the source of all evil? Mayhaps Syn, or Synyster? Feels like it properly communicates the nature of the character while also keeping true to the show's slightly-punny Naming Scheme.
* Well, since I know you're a G1 fan, why not name the girls' descendants after their G1 counterparts? Firefly for Rainbow Dash, Posey for Fluttershy, Sparkler for Rarity, Surprise for Pinkie Pie, Twinkle for Twilight Sparkle, and Applejack for...well, Applejack, but I think that works given Apple Family Values. X3

Since Discord's name comes from Greek mythology, you could call the main villain Nyx since in mythology Nyx is the mother of Discordia
Or Proteus sice he was a shape shifter
But the story sounds interesting.
650599 thnx for the suggestion i might use it, just not the nyx part, since thats synonimus with twilights daughter story. and i really really dont want to copy other poeples story names if i have to but thnx for the watch and hopefully i can do the story justice.

- For Pinkie, Fudge Cake
- For Rarity, Shimmer
- For Rainbow, Lightning Crack
- For Applejack, Apple Spice
- For Fluttershy, Gardenia

816939 thx for the awsome names, as for bad guys ive actually got several of them written down, i asked a fellow guildie on wow and he told me a few excellent ones. now comes the fun part trying to get if i want to go this way the consellations matched with each of the main 6's ancestors. shesh thats going to be a toughy if i decide to go that route. in my mind the celestial guard/knights are basically embodiments of consilations, hence why they are going to be soo powerful , and hence why their are only going to be 12 of them in all thats it. but heres the catch ive already decided one of the 12 is going to die from child birth, or soon there after, but she will be saved, or at least her spirit will be in a special amulet that will be made to hold the good and evil spirits, kinda of like a yin and yang amulet of sorts, and it will be worn by one of the embodiment of destiny/fate(kinda like a fortuneteller, and a spirit medium, and im going to acheive this effect cause the pony who is going to wear it is going to be the maker of the arora borielas. so shes going to be like a spirit guide of sorts, she will have the power to send lost/evil or good souls on thier way or take the souls into her, if they are evil enough.
so thats pretty much some of what i have so far. what i want to happen at reg or irregular intervals is to come back to the story teller at certain points to explain stuff like army or history, or just to have a few laughs really at her rude remarks towards her evil spirit she has locked in the amulet, yang, of course as stated the good yin will be the celestial knight that died after she gave birth to even out the power spectrum, so as to not make her totally evil and give full power to the yang entity.

817958 prob withing a month if i can get my act together long enough to start writing. hehe. i was just trying to 1 come up with some good names for the main 6s ancestors, and 2 try my best to think up a good prolougue chapter. oh and on a side note ive decided maybe to include some humans in the ranks of the celestial knights, just to throw a spin into things, well it is the time of the alicorns when all the tribes and races are living in harmony more or less. so im thinking after the great epic fight scene at the end the humans will be forced to abandon the city. seeing as the objective of he bad guy is to get rid of all the alicorns...soooooo yeah thats the route im going with that issue. so all but 3 alicorns foals will be kinda sent to their respective stars, causew thats what im going to assume that once a alicorn dies he/hers stars will only grow dimmer. thats the premis for this concept i think. hence why the northstar is the brightest star cause hes still alive(opps i should have said he) spoiler hehe oh well.
oh and on a side note I REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT TO GET THIS DAMN STORY WRITTEN DOWN AND OUT OF MY HEAD, seriolsy its been 8 months now since ive thought up this idea.
sooo yeah ill prob shave at least 1-2 chapters out by the end of next month. wish me luck.

man 3 years have gone by basically since i thought this story up.. im procrastinating much....guess i need to kick my behind in shape to get this idea up to par..i hope to get this done or started by the end of the year.
