    Random Story Idea: The Apocalypse

Standing on top of a mountain were four figures that vaguely resemble human. Riding on top of their horses, they peered down at the world of Equestria, despising every moment of it.

“They establish revolutions to fight back authority,” said the one on a glowing, white horse.

The Elements of Harmony & the Pillars

After watching the Season 7 finale of MLP: FiM, here are my thoughts on how the Elements of Harmony and the Pillars’ Virtues have similar traits to each other:

    1. Honesty & Strength:
It takes a strong heart and will to keep choosing to tell the hard truth instead of an easy lie.

Deep within the Everfree Forest, a small wolf pup watches the goings-on in Canterlot before jumping down and scampering away into the forest, where he jumps upon the shoulder of an individual.

Sitting on the grass was a fair-skinned, young figure with black hair and gray eyes. They wore a white collared shirt with a black and blue tie, and a black suit and pants, along with black shoes, giving him a professional look. They also wore a black long coat over their clothing. This was Nathan (aka Nole), the entity of the Dark Element, Nether.

Floating behind him in the air was another young figure. They had light tan skin, platinum hair, and purple eyes. They were wearing a long, purple tunic, navy jeans, and is barefooted. This was Ethan (aka Elon), the entity of the Light Element, Aether.

“I thought I felt your presence near the castle,” they said looking down at Nathan. “Did you enjoy watching them celebrate?”

“Elon.. even though I can neither hear you nor see you, my dear sibling,” Nathan responded softly. “I can still tell you are somewhere near, looking down on me with those big, disdainful eyes..”

“It’s been millions of years now since the two of us have been this close to each other.” Ethan said as they slowly descended to the ground.

“Eons have passed and yet we are still interacting.” Nathan said with a small smile. Ethan landed on the ground, still looking at their antithetical counterpart.

“Why do you persist here, Nole?” Ethan questioned curiously. “Searching for an opportunity to come up with future plans, I presume?”

“The time for my plans have already been decided,” Nathan stated, as they remained in a sitting position. “Over the course of several thousands of years, I’ve seen many eras end.. witnessing the rise and fall of many kingdoms, conflict, hatred, and wickedness. In the form of each new era, I’ve always hoped that the new ages will purify all of that. I had hoped that these things would pass.”

The Nether Elemental sighed in disappointment. “How many times has it happened? History always repeats itself. People commit the same mistakes over and over, no matter how many times they try to avoid it. It was then that I realized that no matter what changes, the iniquity of humanity is persistent.”

“But yet, there are always those that fight for something better. Even if something happens, they still manage to survive,” Ethan countered.

Nathan turned his head to meet Ethan’s face. “Come on, Elon, those idealists are the most catastrophic. Lying to themselves and to each other with every breath they take. They haven’t survived. Not in the true sense, that is. The precious species of humanity. They are slowly becoming extinct.”

Ethan stared at Nathan for a few seconds, still keeping their neutral look, before asking, “Then you won’t wait any longer?”

“I believe so,” Nathan said as they got up. “For thousands of years I’ve been making up my mind, and I’ve come to the conclusion that since the world has ostracized me, I have no choice but to ostracize the world.”

“Humanity and equines accepts this world for all its flaws. I’m sure they will defend this world, no matter what,” Ethan disputed.

Nathan’s hair overshadowed their eyes, as the trees and plants around the two started to wilt and die. “These will be my two gifts, Elon: world balance and regeneration. A brand new world, refined and orderly.”

“I assume there will be a war..?” Ethan asked in concern.

“Not quite,” Nathan responded coldly, their eyes now shown to be more dark and callous. “It’s more like a one-sided annihilation. No man, woman, or child will be spared. I won’t let any of them live.”

Ethan returned with a glare of their own. “Then we will have no choice but to stop you. They will wipe your stain from this land. You will be destroyed.”

“Have you forgotten that you will cease to exist as well if I’m gone?”

Ethan’s eyes widened as Nole asked that. It was true. They represent the opposing forces of the universe. If one of them is gone, so does the other. One cannot exist without its opposite.

Ethan’s eyes then softened as it now turned into a sympathetic look.

“You’re right,” they responded quietly as they closed their eyes and departed.

Nathan looked on as their sibling/counterpart left. The Dark Elemental sighed solemnly and departed as well.
