Update 3 - Queries, PTSD and upcoming plans

I swear I have some kind of Ponyfic ADD, I swear.

Anyways, the main reason I made this - how do you define a Major and Minor character? Is it their Screen time? Character Development? Relevance in the Story? Preferred flavor of Ice Cream?

    Update 1

Okay, so...about the current ongoing stories...

The Pony Who Fell to Equestria is still on hiatus. Right now, I'm about one chapter away from finishing it off...and we've hit a brick wall. HARD. It hurt my face.

I'm asking because my head is drumming on about another weird ass fic idea (y'know, rather than finishing Iron Uprising's drawn out and difficult production cycle). This idea is in addition to - or in place of - the one year anniversary fic which is also on the cards. Otherwise, I'm limited to ten characters, and we've already used up six of those slots. It's quite possible the cast is going to grow much, much larger before we put pen to paper.

On a side note, there's been a...revelation of late. My distaste for other Bronies? It may be linked to a variant form of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I say variant because I have only recognized 50-75% of the symptoms as being as the condition is described. The rest are either there and not recognized, or simply not present at all. For now, all I will say on the matter is that my views are not popular, and I have suffered for it. It is this in part why I had a difficult time sitting though the Season 3 episode just past (which to date is the ONLY episode of Season 3 I have seen - I have not, and probably will not be watching the three preceding episodes), and it has even reached the point where I can't even watch Season 1 anymore comfortably.

Identifying the condition has at least made it easier - at least I now know what I am working against.

On that note, I've put Iron Uprising on hiatus for the time being. Chapter 5 is in progress, but the difficulty in writing it is proving to be monumentally hard. Doubts are being raised as to if it will actually be completed.

Also, Ice Cream.

I think I know what you mean. I myself have only watched one 3rd series episode that seemed okay, but after reading some people's 'fridge logic' I've felt uneasy about it all. I think I know which episode you mentioned and I'm in a similar boat about it and the PTSD analogy can be quite fitting, and I quote...

"Many vets complain of alienation, rage or guilt." - Paul Hardcastle.

It's not an analogy, it's literal. You don't have to be in a war to develop PTSD. It can come around via nightmarish circumstances. People who are bullied frequently often develop it as well. All you need is a massive, traumatizing memory.

As of right now, I'm convinced the only MLP Writer that can do their job - and do it well - is Cindy Morrow. The last episode may not have been "Read it and Weep" levels of quality, but I can say safely it was definitely on par as a Season 1 episode. The three beforehand I have not seen, but I am aware of the popular consensus regarding King Somba (though in personal opinion, MLP:FiM hasn't had a good villain since Nightmare Moon - Discord is built around a single gimmick, and Crysalis just made no sense at all, and the FF Brothers and Trixi arguably barely even pass for Jerks, given one actually bought PROGRESS and was capable of making and mass producing fine quality cider and the other is a STAGE MAGICIAN, THIS IS WHAT THEY DO, not to mention was the only townsmember who actually tried doing something about the Ursa Minor).

I am not sure I'll be watching the next episode, but right now it's different when I'm talking or writing or drawing or Role Playing with Ponies, but actually watching the show has become...difficult.

544638 I've watched the third episode of the 3rd series, but it seems quite clear which one you're talking about and I can quite understand where you're coming from. I, myself, fail to understand not using corporal punishment in the case of physical bullying when all other methods don't seem to work.

544640 Because unfortunately, corporal punishment doesn't work on a bully. Contrary to the episode's events, bullies can and will subvert and avoid every attempt to do so, and are more often than not successful at things like pinning the blame on the victim.

Also contrary to the episode's events, there's nothing you can do to stop them.
