The End rewritten · 10:08pm Jul 27th, 2020
Hey all, I've been stuck in quarantine like most of you and am bored out of my mind.
I started 'The End' when I was in the middle of high school, didn't know how to write, and was like 15. I'm now almost 19 and like to think my writing has gotten a bit better (although you guys haven't seen any evidence of that, sorry) so I'm considering rewriting The End. It would hold the same basic story but it'd hopefully be a much more enjoyable experience for all. Let me know your thoughts?
Up to you.
I'd need to re-read the story to refresh my memory, but from what I can remember I thought it was an interesting premise but could have used some more polish.
So, if you feel you've improved in your writing since, and you're feeling up for it, why not?
I just reread it, and I'd have to agree that it's up to you if you feel you've improved to the point where you think you can make the story better by starting fresh then by all means, I know I for one will be happy to read whatever you write
There're a few plot points in the story that could use some clarification so yeah go ahead.
It's been so long since I've read it that I wouldn't notice if it was rewritten. Do it a see how much you've improved.
Sad is someone that thinks they work is perfect, because they stop evolving and lose one motive to keep pushing forward. Its your story that you generously shared with us, so, first of all, thanks for sharing, and if you feel that it can be improved, go ahead! At least you can count on me to read it!
If you've got good ideas for improving it, then go for it. You should feel the best you can about your stories. If that means rewriting them, then thta's fine. Just be careful not to let rewriting get you caught in an endless loop of "I can do better". You'll learn more from writing the rest of a story than you will from writing the same bit over and over.
