Hello everyone. Here is my review of The Dark Knight Rises. This movie was, in my opinion, a great conclusion of The Dark Knight Trilogy. This film had so many emotional scenes that could just jerk a tear from your eye. Seeing Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) have to conclude his crime-fighting career by rising from the torments of his trauma and sorrow of losing Rachel and his parents and the pains of his own self-pity to the height of fearlessness, humility, and true heroism was so satisfying to behold and very epic if you ask me.
Now I am aware of what people thought of this movie; a fair number of people hated this film and thought this was an anticlimactic and underwhelming movie. I respectfully disagree, but I can see why they despise this third movie. Here are my personal pros and cons as follows:
PROS
•Tom Hardy as Bane. He was a fantastic memorable villain much like Heath Ledger’s Joker. All of his quotes were awesome and very meme-worthy. Seriously, I hope Mr. Hardy got a huge raise after his performance.
•Anne Hathaway as Catwoman/ Selina Kyle. She was great, and l loved her fight scenes as well. Happy to see her with Bruce at the end.
•Gary Oldman as Gordon, Michael Caine as Alfred, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox.
•The ending and Batman’s sacrifice. Oh, and Blake as Robin/New Batman (or Batman Beyond?).
CONS
•The plot twist that Miranda Tate was Talia. Movie, if you want to surprise the audience with a new villain, do it in a way that is not anticlimactic and stupid! Why save her at the climax of the movie instead of earlier? Isn’t proper character development important? In fact, she didn’t have to BE in this movie! Wouldn’t it be better if Catwoman took her role and become a secondary antagonist and worked with Bane till she got what she wanted? Just two villains as usual! Have her pretend to love Bruce and then BOOM! She backstabs him!
•How the heck did Bane discover Bruce’s armory despite no one telling him the location?
•How did he know that the police would go underground in search for him only so that he could trap them in?
•Batman’s screen time was severely minimized. But I understand why.
•Why wasn’t The Joker mentioned at all in this film? (Outside of Heath Ledger’s death)
•Bane’s death was so ridiculous. There was literally no interaction between him and Catwoman. What motivated her to kill him to save Batman? What connection did she have with Bane that led to her to kill him? He’s unceremoniously killed off so that Talia could be the main villain. All that build-up of his villain arch made completely meaningless. Come on, Mr. Nolan, you’re better than this. 🤦🏻♂️
•Talia’s death was so fake lol. It’s so fake that you could TELL she was acting. No effort whatsoever. “Hey, guys, I’m dying. Ahhh, blah. I’m dead.”
Yeah, so this film has a number of plot holes, but still a great film. I rate it an 8/10. I like this a little more than Batman Begins. Wonderful conclusion of one of the greatest trilogies of all time. Any thoughts, fellas?

As for my opinion on the Joker movie, I think it’s a good movie, but it honestly isn’t my cup of tea. Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker was great, but I much prefer Heath Ledger’s Joker. I love The Joker when he has a mysterious backstory or has a “multiple-choice” past. Arthur Fleck didn’t display the main characteristics that screams “Joker”. The movie itself isn’t that bad even with an R rating, but I just don’t dig this Joker.
Those are my thoughts.

I see your point. As for myself, I really liked the movie. I love movies or stories that dive deep into a character´s psychology. But I agree that Arthut Fleck wasn´t `enough´ Joker. Like I said, I haven´t watched Batman movies, but I know how the Joker character is like. And in this version.... he´s pretty different from that. Like a completely new take on the character! But it was interesting to see it.
