How would you name the couple of Barbara Dusk and Elusive? · 6:40am Jun 12th, 2020
An uninspired author is sitting at a desk, quill firmly grasped in right hand, and fluttered and flared wings spread as they could get. Every passing second, her hand gets whiter from gripping it too hard and an observer might think it's ready to snap.
Elusive knows what being a struggling artist is like, and tries to promise things will get better. But he cannot, as he is not a liar. He currently enters the tight closet of a room and sees Barbara Dusk on a stool scribbling away blindly at a page, putting one random word after another on the notebook. She never goes anywhere without it, but he everyday wishes she would.
Stepping in, Elusive raises a hoof and places it on Barbara's shoulder, which makes her jump and bump her head on the low ceiling.
"Vhat is this?!" she screamed on reflex, then relaxed when she saw it was only Elusive.
"You mustn't torture yourself, as that will get you nowhere, dearest. Come outside and have a breather. Outside air will do you good."
Giving a sigh, she put her quill back into its box and cracked her knuckles then got out of her seat. She hopped onto the stallion's back and rode him down the stairs. When the sun hit her it came off as a shock even though she'd been outside yesterday too, thanks to her mate pulling her out of the house to ensure she doesn't make herself sick for the sake of art. When he stepped out, he incidentally ran into a couple he hadn't seen in a while.
Bray and Zeb. The latter was hauling a cart full or oranges, the other putting them into a barrel after peeling.
"Bray! Zeb! Long time no see!" two heads whipped up and cracked grins on reflex, and Barbara raised her arm ready to shake a couple of forelimbs, and almost had hers shaken clean away.
"How's the authoress business, miss?" Bray asked. The girl did not respond verbally, only nodding downward, tilting her face toward the soil.
"Abysmal, is it? Be glad your kind and generous clotfriend has your back, Barb. Many ponies would kill for it, in some cases literally." He quickly fled and gestured for his companion to follow before this conversation went to places it should not. He complied.
After several hours of trotting about, they both came back, and Barbara was better off for having stretched her wings which were creaking for the better part of the last several hours. Back to the drawing board she goes, and with renewed vigor gets her sense of direction back, yet writes something none too original.
Megan and Tommy find shards all across the nursery floor, greenhouse smashed. There was clear indication of a break in, and several beans were missing. And a notice.
MW, you have no doubt found out about your missing vegetables. There is good reason for it, and I shall ask you to come to the peak down around dusk. Bring only your brother, and no other.

Blank faced, she crumpled it up and threw it in the corner, walking to the house, not caring Tommy was there to see the note.
That very evening, after all the ponies around the place nodded off, two of the six humans in there snuck out and ascended he peak. There they were greeted with a humanoid figure.
"I see you made it, Miss Williams, Minkle. Let's cut straight to the point, shall we? I know about the abduction or Firefly and Surprise, and I like to help, but you must get ahold of those remaining photographs of Danny's first, and burn them in front of me. I like the two more than you would know."
A vision of a news van and several guys in dark suits flashed in Megan's mind, and Danny had a similar one.
