YOU GUYS GOTTA READ IT!! IT'S AMAZING!!! THE PLOT IS SO GOOD!
You know like in movies you know everything that's going on that some of the characters don't and you understand/see plans or tricks? The Sound of Loneliness actually was able to trick me just as NMM tricked the other characters!! Even after all the info I had, I. got. tricked. The Sound of Loneliness is soo cunning! I DON'T UNDERSTAND IF U DON'T WANNA READ AND FOLLOW HIM NOW!!

The human mind is a very self-centred thing, you see. Give a person a little information and nudge a few things in their 'favour' so it will confirm they are 'correct' in their newly adjusted mindset, and you will have a totally obedient pawn which is completely sure it is doing your bidding on its own consent. Your new puppet will even defend its implanted views while facing the evidence of it being wrong.
And now, time is for the most important part. If I could play you using the very same trick I just demonstrated to you in the story, imagine how simple it is to play a regular citizen living an ordinary life in the city block somewhere in New-York, or maybe somewhere to the east. I was not cunning enough to invent such a method, I merely showed you what I, myself, had seen happening.
Do not be a 'regular' citizen.
