Continuing chapter 2 of Lost Coastlines · 10:25pm May 20th, 2020
Took a break for a bit. Played some PS4 games in between writing. Came back to a story I hadn't touched in years. All in a week or two's work.
But I'm coming back to Lost Coastlines and its nice. Barely reached 1000 words so it will be a while, but its coming forward. First and second scenes can be difficult sometimes.
But what I learned after playing a lot of PS4 these last few weeks- Witcher 3 is good overall but sometimes quest markers are way off. Infrequent though there. Also "Story" difficulty which is like Easy Plus on that game can still beat me to death if I'm not careful.
Final Fantasy X has Tara Strong in it as Rikku, which I never connected before since I last played it like a decade ago but her voice is pretty close to Twilight's which makes me somewhat interested in a FFX MLP crossover. Also John Di Maggio as Wakka who is doing his best at a Rocket Power esque feel for the character which is so 90s it hurts. I mean I love the character but god the choice in over doing the accent is kind of painful cause most people aren't going that hardcore on the accent.
FF15 is much better with the Royal Edition that it is just overall better. Still there's problems with characters just noping out of a bit of the story, but its just better. Though the only real times I died were against tough enemies and, of all things, driving the car on manual- I hate those manual sections in FF15 since I had to replay certain parts so often due to missed turns or running out of time.
FF12 I haven't touched a lot of but the battle system takes some getting used to but it looks cool.
Horizon Zero Dawn is pretty and it was a good opening mission. Just have to go back to it, but I could only handle so much Eurojank in the controls so I chose the Witcher to beat first so I can focus on one odd but pretty amazing game at a time. The opening hour is pretty good though.
But what I now notice is that the games on PS4 have gotten so good looking that my brain and eyes can't always keep up with the information which can cause me to sometimes get headaches which kind of blows but I kind of expected it.
But yeah, life is going back to normal-ish, and with how theaters might be opening up late May early June here, I don't know how often updates of all my stories will go.
