That's Why they Call it the Blues · 9:43pm Apr 9th, 2020
Well I suppose it's time for an update. And let me start with some good news! The next chapter of Over The Moon is almost done (thank you for your patients) and the next chapter of The Life and Times of Spike and Rarity is well underway. Now, I'm sure you're curious as to the title of this post. Well that's because I got hit with a bad case of insecurities. What do I mean by that? To be perfectly frank, sometimes when I read stories written by my favorite authors I start to beat myself up and notice all the problems my stories have. Not being descriptive enough, too much description, not a wide enough vocabulary, etc. etc. So I get stuck in a bit of a slump and my productivity takes a bit of a hit because I keep comparing my work with the work of others.
Thank God I have a friend who knows how to talk me out of a tree. And thanks to her for reminding me that I'll get better with time and practice, just like my drawing. Which is true. I just have to keep telling myself that. But it also helps to have a great friend to help you up when you're blue. So in summery, sorry for the delay in my work but I'll have things to show you soon.
Thank you all for reading, see you next time
