    .... I don't even know anymore

Ok I know this isn't fandom related but I just have to tell someone, so that I'm not the only one who's brain hurts.
These Trumpians (diehard Trump supporters/Election deniers) have proven that, yes they CAN be even stupider.

CA COVID19 response · 1:49am Mar 30th, 2020

This over the top overreaction to COVID19 has got to stop. It has now hit a new extreme. Now buisnesses like corner-stores have to be cloaed by 2000 hrs. I thought they were exempt from the lockdown bc they are a food seller so they are an essential service. So now I guess it is not essential to have FOOD? Bc call me crazy but I thought we kinda need food to do stuff like survive and such.
If we keep going with these levels of knee-jerk reactions to COVID19.
I have a friend who is homeless and I would let stay at my place some nights. My building won't allow visitors right now bc of this virus. And ok fine I get that and can deal with that. However my friend doesn't have a paycheck coming in. He has to ask people for money. Meaning that he may or may not have the money he needs to eat by the time food stores close now since it is 6 hrs earlier then it should be. How does this make sense?
We do need to take measures to help prevent COVID19. I am not saying we don't. But how is going to such extremes going to help when it puts the very lives of people at risk.
Now some might think "Oh it is just a homeless person and they don't matter" but you're wrong. These measures are supposed to help save lives. Not for uses as some kind of way to get rid of a segment of the population. I'm big enough to admit I was wrong.

You make a great point. This whole thing shows how some people have been overlooked before and right now may need our help more than ever. I've fed food to homeless in the city multiple times and I've been wondering what's happening now with the virus. Does it mean less groups can get together to bring in food? Or even distribute it? Where can they get donations with people unable to leave their homes? Those human beings need help just as much as before but will be getting much less now. I hope I'm wrong but that's my assumption.

I saw my homeless friend CJ yesterday and from what he told me it's getting really tough out there for him and others in the same boat. For instance there's a group that would come downtown and give out food, curry and rice I think he said. When I'd be headed home or wherever and they happened to be there before, there would be a line that went to the end of the block around the corner up to the next corner and around it. CJ told me they haven't been by since this whole thing started. The church I go to hasn't had the weekly meal for the homeless they usually have, not to mention no mass on Sunday or Wednesday too. He also said that to get his beer money for the night he has to start no later then 1530 just to hope he's got it in enough time to get to the store by 1945 so he has enough time before they close. I remember before this whole lockdown thing there were times I'd see him just arriving at 2200 and usually leave around 0030.
It really gets to me but what can I do that I don't already.

That's frightening. My church did a breakfast run back in November to run hot food and drink in to serve the homeless and the line stretched pretty far. But we were planning to do another in May and now I doubt it's going to happen. The look in their eyes of having any food and clothing we could give them...

I hate to think that being taken from them. Casualties that may die without ever being infected.
