Equestria Girls: Robots in Disguise Blog #1 · 3:21pm Feb 19th, 2020
Hey all!
I'm sure by now that you've had a chance to check out my latest work, Equestria Girls: Robots in Disguise, a crossover story starring the cast of My Little Pony: Equestria Girls, the cast of various Transformers series, and (further down the line), characters from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. The story has been in the works for a while, and the first three chapters are now a year old! 
My plan for the story so far has been the following:
- A two part prologue establishing the characters from both Transformers and Equestria Girls, taking place during the Autobot's last moments on Cybertron (based heavily on the opening scene of Bumblebee) and a different take on the climax of the Friendship Games, where Sunset defeats Midnight Sparkle without the need to become Daydream Shimmer. These two chapters were written in January 2019
- A five-part "pilot episode" (a little bit like Darkness Rising from Transformers: Prime), that sets up the story arcs and characters that will be explored in future chapters. As of February 2020, four out of the five parts of this pilot have been published. We've been introduced to the Constructicons, killed off Cliffjumper (a recent tradition of Hasbro's, it seems), introduced the human-world versions of Tirek, Discord and Chrysalis as dangerous criminals, reinvented Shining Armour in a role that better reflects his Equestrian counterpart, introduced the geodes that will give the girls their powers from Legend of Everfree, and teased the appearance of Gaea Everfree and the Decepticon master himself, Megatron. Part 5 should be coming out soon, either in February or March 2020.
- Once the "pilot episode" has been done, I will begin work on "Season 1", which will likely consist of 13 "episodes", possibly more, depending on how I feel the character and story arcs should go. After Season 1 has been completed, I will consider the story to be 'complete' and change its status to such. The ending will be a nice wrap-up to everything so far, but will leave enough room for future stories to warrant a second season to be written.
These are my current plans. Things may change as we go on, but I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to read the story! I look forward to going on this journey with you all!
