See, I'm designing an MLP villain OC who's basically every edgy villainous trope you can think of rolled into one: dark armour, spikes, glowing red eyes, the whole nine yards. Think Sauron from Lord of the Rings. A villain you'd think would have an incredibly deep and intimidating voice like Clancy Brown or Keith David to match his appearance. But when he opens his mouth...
a completely unfitting and silly voice comes out of him.
As a result, despite all how evil and nasty he is, it makes it difficult for him to be taken seriously by anyone, no matter how much he demands them to.
What I'm having trouble deciding is:
Which of these two voice actors would be the funnier choice and why?
Gilbert Gottfried (Iago, Mr Mxyzptlk, Kraang Subprime) or Richard Steven Horvitz (Invader Zim)?
I'd go with Richard Horvitz simply because the villain you described is probably how Zim thinks he looks
Richard Horvitz.
*shrugs* Zim, I guess, since everyone else is saying so. Never watched the show though
