Aye! :) · 3:23pm Dec 31st, 2019

Hey everypony! This is my first blog if you haven't noticed! I wasn’t planning on making one, but I wanted to share an idea I fleshed out a bit and see what you guys think :) I believe it’s worthy of a short story.

My family visited a week from today from Argentina, and since I only live with my mother and father that work very frequently and constantly, I decided to take the opportunity to go to the library near my house! You see, I don’t have much free time, and I still have a science project to complete before the Winter Break, plus all the work in helping out my parents because I honestly can’t stand watching them working harder than they have to.

But anyway, (let’s not make this a vent) while in the library I found a book called “The Book Thief,” one I’ve been meaning to read for quite a while. (Give it a shot! It’s really good!) While reading it, it gave me some ideas, and the one I’m about to show you is the winner from my mental process of elimination. When I have multiple sudden ideas flying everywhere, I rule out the least good ones, (not to say that some ideas are bad! All are good if you can make it good) and have the best one left for whatever I want to do with it. So I want to share it to all of you! This is getting too long, here it is! Hope you enjoy this little written short I made based off it.

Masks of Spilled White

Humans, humans everywhere, wearing white.

To many, white is not a color, only an empty canvas simply there to fulfill a simple purpose: To be filled with shades of life within every variety, shapes and sizes in any warped figuration and be saturated by it. To many, they only see the big picture, the picturesque on the canvas, but not the canvas itself, not the white. To many, they don't notice the purest form of every color all in one. They don’t notice the purest, most perfect white they hide behind.

For many humans, they hide behind a white mask, shaping themselves in colors that are incapable to show their truest selves. Changing themselves for others, putting on a white mask filled with inconceivable swipes of corrupted color, next to others in a world of smeared, spilled white masks. Not knowing that to be truly human, they must be the purest color of white.

White, the spectrum of every color all in one.

Oops, I guess I should have warned you it’s kind of deep. :rainbowlaugh:

To summarize, or directly tell you the message/idea, is that every growing human is making their masks and wearing them. As someone grows, they are told how to act, what to say and do, what is okay and not okay, in which is the fundamental basics of our subconscious. Yet sometimes, humans are taught the wrong things from individuals (adults or same age) that are not always in their right mind. A mask of corrupt white is what someone you might live with wear, and most of the time that corruption will spread to the young, thus creating the continuous generations of corruption that will only spread within time.

Being pure white is being yourself. The colors the make up that white is pieces of your purest self, the true you. You can add more color on top, but if you let others put colors on your white wrongly and paint you wrong, you can be corrupted.

And unfortunately, this corruption spread across the world terrifyingly quickly, making us believe what isn’t reality.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you put down what you think in the comments. I’d love the feedback! Have a nice day
