Ah, the question that torments all of us Bronies. Why?
Unfortunately the answer isn't as simple as the question. One can say that they love the show because it's cute, but there's more to it than that. One can say they like the show because of the intricacies in plot, but there's more than that. I for one, say that I love this show simply because it expresses and exemplifies things for the way they should be. I love this show because it entertains me without constant incoherent jokes, gore, violence, sex, and other forms of entertainment that seem to clog up televisions across the world today. The simple tenderheartedness of this show sometimes puts me on the edge of tears and sets me off into random laughing spasms that scare my friends; the values of trust and love and loyalty truly touch me simply because these values aren't found anywhere else. Not on T.V. and unfortunately, definitely not in society. Perhaps the reason I love this show is because it exemplifies things I have yet to experience or things that are just simply wonderful. If you want my opinion, if more people watched this show and understand it for what it is, the world would be a much better place.

I am not sure if im well welcome in the hear though. My OC aint sure. 
And the show has *good* writing as well.
No one will ever truly understand that which hey don't know. They only way to find out is to just go for it!
I for one embrace the whole idea...I mean why not, ya know?
