Friday, August 2, 2019: The Second Day of the Final BronyCon
On the agenda for today was roaming around the Vendor Hall. I was hoping to get things for Faust and Zacherle to autograph, and maybe a few more brony-analyst signatures for Firebrand’s wedding present.
At the Vendor Hall, though, I was disappointed twice: Lightning Bliss was not at her table, and neither was Keyframe! But I did run across AnimeChristy and her boyfriend MangaKamen (who did not look at all like I would have expected, given the OC). I got their signatures on Firebrand’s wedding present, and I found things for Zacherle and Faust to sign. At one table, I found a beach print with all the Mane Six. I eventually thought that that would be perfect to have both Zacherle and Faust sign it. And it turned out that the print I got was actually a cover from one of the IDW comics!
I'll put up a picture of the print when I get to the part of the story where I get Zacherle's autograph.
As for Faust, I ran across a vendor with different postcards. I asked if he had a Fausticorn postcard, and he did! So I got that one for Faust to autograph:
Spoiler alert: I never did get Faust's signature.
Afterwards, I hopped back outside to Harmony Plaza. There, they were having “My Little Tesla”; they were using a Tesla coil to make music. And there were all sorts of music: Twilight’s theme from the now-defunct Fighting is Magic, the Smile Song, and, of course, a piece of music that should be familiar to any nerd:
After spending some time there, I headed to the autograph hall…only to find out that the line for Lauren Faust had reached its cap.
But thank providence, there was a backup plan. Firebrand was about to have a meet-and-greet on the second floor near all the model ships, so there I headed…and we’ll go into that next time.
