Future ages rambling(Very slight finale spoilers) · 9:18am Oct 14th, 2019
The finale just has me thinking about everyone's ages in the future.
With the grey hair and lines under the mane six's eyes, they are clearly getting older.
The Crusaders and Cake twins are also both adults. The Cake twins seem to be running Sugarcube Corner.
In the present day of the show, the Crusaders are young enough where they can't travel without adults. Also, the older kids they meet in Growing Up Is Hard To Do seem to still not be in the 'older teen/young adult' territory.
Ponies seem to be able to mature and start working jobs at a faster rate than humans do. I would say, even though they tend to act older than this a lot, the Crusaders can't be more than 12 in the show. The older kids from Growing Up are likely around 14, since they seem to be young teenagers. I'm going to just put the Crusader's ages as anywhere from between 12-14.
The Cake twins, in present day, are obviously just babies. So, 0 years old with the Crusaders being about a decade older than them.
Since they seem to be running Sugarcube Corner in the future, and since ponies seem to mature and have jobs at a younger age than humans do, let's just say that the Cake twins are around 16 years old in the future. The Crusaders are then placed at about 28 years old.
Rarity in 'Whom The Sweetie Belle Tolls' is shown looking like she does in her present age as she does when Sweetie Belle is 5. We could say that Rarity is about 16 when Sweetie Belle is 5, which makes her and the rest of the main cast around a decade older than the Crusaders, who are then a decade older than the Cake twins.
So, in the present day, I would say maybe the Cake twins/Flurry Heart to be around 16-18, the Crusaders and their other friends to be around 25-30, and the main ponies to be around 35-40. Lil Cheese and the other future offspring shown could be on the younger end of getting their cutie marks(also, the Crusaders likely got theirs at an older age than what's usual), so they're perhaps around 8-10.
