Since horror is my favorite genre, I've watched hundreds of them, usually stuff from the 70s/80s. What are your favorites?

My favourites would be It, Us, and Train To Busan.
It - The kids did a fantastic performance in portraying the Losers Club, having to deal with a lot of toxic people in their lives. Pennywise is way scarier than the original and truth be told, I'm absolutely terrified of clowns. He's the most terrifying one I've ever seen. When I watched It in a theatre, the jumpscares made everyone scream loudly. I didn't scream, though. I just covered my ears in anticipation. I look forward to watch the 2nd chapter this week.
Us - Lupita Nyong'o deserves an award for her role as two characters. The plot twist made everyone confused and ask tons of questions. One can't help but feel bad for the real Adelaide who was on the doppelganger dimension and killed by the real Red. The fact that this film talks about "we are our own worst enemy" speaks volumes. This is a scary masterpiece Jordan Peele has ever created.
Train To Busan - It reminds a lot of World War Z, albeit with more adrenaline rush and emotion. There's no guns or loaded weapons involved since it takes place in a train, which is an obstacle the passengers faced throughout the film. The last part where Su-an's dad said a tearful goodbye to her after he was bitten by a zombified Yon-suk and jumped off the train hits me the most in the feels.

Interesting choices, I haven't seen Us. Must admit I preferred the miniseries version of It, not fond of all the shaky cam rushing at the screen stuffy they did with the new Pennywise, which made me laugh. Train To Busan was a cool flick.

I've watched parts of Hereditary on YouTube. It was frightening as expected, which explains why it received universal acclaim.
On the other hand, Raw wasn't as scary as I thought it was going to be. I feel like the trailer misled the viewers into thinking as such.

Those two I also haven't seen, but I've heard good things.
