I decide to stay out of Ponyville proper for now, following the trail that leads outside of town instead of navigating either of the other two paths. With the bag slung over my shoulder, I began to trudge what eventually became a dirt road as the houses that had been damaged or at least recently abandoned became less and less as trees and open field started to take their place in my surroundings. I can't say I've ever gone to the Apple family farm by myself before, but the way still looks familiar.

Like I expected it to the weather becomes somewhat warmer, which is quite welcome considering my current state of dress, as the light of the sun seemed to make the clouds above glow wherever there was a clear sight of the blue sky. As I continue to walk down the road, Ponyville is to my left side across a growing expanse of field off in the distance while to my right is a hilly plain. While the area has always seemed to be of the peaceful sort, the silence around me now is much more tense and overbearing, considering the faint smell of smoke and burning wood reaching my nostrils. It's then I realize that I hadn't gone to the bathroom yet after first waking up. Further down the road, at least a ten minutes' walk is what I think is Sweet Apple Acres, though there are no discernible features that I can make out; I can only guess considering the much denser crowd of trees in the distance than what I remember.

I have enough common sense not to soil myself, but is it worth holding in to check the farm out first? Does anything else come to mind?
