Bracing for Hurricane Dorian · 6:50pm Aug 29th, 2019
Hey, everybody. Just a quick post here. As I have mentioned before, I live in Miami, and we are now all bracing for Hurricane Dorian, which is headed right for us. The current prediction is that by Sunday, it will reach Florida as a Category 4 hurricane. For those unfamiliar with hurricanes, the scale goes up to Category 5. The estimated wind speed when it gets here is 130 mph.
Not going to lie, it's really scary. We've been scrambling for some supplies today, with runs of bad luck. I'm really hoping this isn't another Irma situation, but I know that might be a long shot. I'm just writing this to let you guys know I may be out of contact, possibly for a while. When Irma hit, the power was knocked out for over a week.
That's all. Hope the rest of you are having a good day.
Question: Will it still stay south of from where I live?
I'm from North Carolina btw.
Stay safe, my fellow Floridian. Getting ready up here (Central Florida). See ya on the flip side.

one spaghetti plot shows multiple paths of Dorian going through Georgia and parts of S. Carolina. You may get some bad thunderstorms.

As long as it doesn't result in power outages for me. Because..... -worried sigh- I really don't want to go through 3 or more days without power like when Hurricane Matthew happened for me back in 2016..... :(
