As a young'n (about age 8 or 9) I used to look up all kinds of stuff on the internet. One thing my aunt never liked me looking up was anything to do with witchcraft or the occult. Naturally I ignored her and continued my research and development of my newfound "hobby" (read calling). As an adult, yes I have strengthened my spiritual bond within myself and beliefs. No. I don't worship Lucifer. I'm a Presbyterian complete. It just so happens that I have embraced both my light and darkness. To blend into something most would find strange: A witch.
Each of the cats I've had received this blessing upon their first night. While I doubted that Luna could be a familiar, In hindsight, I shouldn't have doubted her.
For someone who constantly finds someway to hurt herself, this little chant is necessary.
And yes. I do pray this and another spell over wherever I'm sleeping that night to protect me from bad auras and dreams.
