My bronifying anniversary, season 3, and other stuff · 10:27am Nov 11th, 2012
Hello everyone! It's been a while since I last wrote a blog post, so here you go.
First I'd like to announce that today (11th of November 2012) it has been exactly one year since I started watching MLP:FiM. If anyone said over a year ago that I would become a fan of My Little Pony, I would never have taken them seriously. But what you know, I watched the first episodes a year ago, and I'm still a fan. And I got to say, deciding to watch the show was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The show itself is great and it was what made me a brony initially, but what made me stay for longer was the really amazing fanbase. The fanbase I and you who are reading this are part of.
Here's my thoughts of the first two episodes of season 3, which aired just yesterday (as you all know already). It was an excellent episode as a whole, but there was at least one thing that could have used an improvement. King Sombra. He ended up being quite... meh. He seemed like just a generic evil villain whose only goal was to gather power. And his dialogue consisted only of roars, growls, and a few short lines. But despite that I really liked the episode, and I hope we'll see more about Shining Armor, Cadance, and Crystal Empire in the later episodes, too.
Now what have I been doing for the last month or two... Mostly studying, reading fanfictions, and writing my fourth fanfiction. I've also been writing some drafts of other shorter stories recently. Namely a sequel to The Cutie Mark Bakers (related to that scene at the end of said fanfiction), Twilight trying out some physics breaking spells (we just saw her reversing gravity in the season 3 episode 2, but this story has a bit more, too... and I had that idea even before watching that episode), and some other short comedies. I have no idea when any of those stories are going to be finished and published, or if I'll even finish some of them at all, but just so you know that there is some comedy stories in (very slow) progress.
Well, that's enough for now. See you later!
Are you high on Gak yet?
493640 GAK!
No... I watched these episodes in youtube without commercials, so I didn't see all the Gak advertisements.
I'm just glad Spike really had his time to shine. When he looked into the door and saw Twilight leaving him, and he breaks down for a second. That hit me in the feels... hard. I also thought it was cool how Celestia and Twilight could use dark magic, pretty boss.
493665 I saw all 8
493690 Spike's and Twilight's worst fears were actually quite similar... For Twilight it was the fear of failing and Celestia abandoning her, while for Spike it was the fear of Twilight abandoning him.
And yes, I agree that was quite a touching moment between Spike and Twilight.
AHCK!.. Spoilarz??
Twilight breaking gravity... ... hehe... no wonder she's best pony..
I guess I"m gonna have to read the Cutie Mark Bakers, just to know how cool it is that you're writing a sequel.. lol
493984 Oh, sorry about the spoilers if you didn't watch the episodes yet. Though there is "season 3" as a part of the title and this was posted after the episodes had aired, so spoilers would probably have been expected...
As for The Cutie Mark Bakers, I assume you already guessed from the title that it is about the Cutie Mark Crusaders trying to bake. Sequel is not about baking though—just read the story and you'll likely guess what the CMC will do in the sequel.
