Ponies and Periods (Men Who are Squeamish This is Your Warning Now)

Okay so that's out of the way. You're probably wondering about that title. Well on one end I was watching the original MLP movie the other night with my best guy friend and of course this being my "blessed" time of the month, he wisely came bearing my "please don't murder me" package he brings me every 3 or so months (disclosure: mine aren't regular because of birth control) and sat with me while

    Happy St. Patrick's Day🍀☘️

Currently doing a bar crawl in Downtown (ok so we started in Corktown and are making our way through any good AVAILABLE bar today) with some friends and a couple of co-workers of mine, who we unintentionally ran into. Turns out great minds think alike! Ironically I'm the "Uber Call Girl" tonight so...unfortunately can't get TOO wasted (plus I actually have work tomorrow...couldn't call off).

Call me "old fashioned" but... · 9:28pm Jun 4th, 2019

Whatever happened to the time when you think you like someone, liked them so bad that you'd consider marriage material there, you'd go out and attempt to court said person. Taking time to be a stand-up guy/gal and show them a great time. A few on calls and dates (sometimes groups would do this as well) later and you'd be willing to persuade your intended that marriage was a great idea? I know that sounds like common modern-day dating. Yet that's where similarities end. See back in the day....let's say...the 1800s. When times were much less crazy than they are now. If a guy wanted to court a girl, he'd have to ask her parents. Do an assortment of things to try and make the girl more interested in him, with the eventual outcome being marriage. While that's WAAAY too old school for me, I do still believe in a respectable amount of time for dating and possible relationship evolvement. I am the type of woman who, while I wouldn't be averse to receiving a nice gift on say...the 2nd or 4th date and making the time spent with the person memorable, I'm also the type to absolutely try and make whoever I'm out with feel special. I'd try a few cheesy pick-up lines to break the ice (and show my sense of humor). If out to eat, I am a generally chivalrous woman and I know how to respect boundaries. Sure I might insist on covering the bill (if it hadn't already been decided that we'd split the bill) at times. Yet I only do it out of respect and potentially even...a deep caring (not quite love, but close to it). Am I weird like that or what?

Sorry for the slight rant. Here's a cute picture!:

Informative: That is what should be normal, not what is considered 'dating' nowadays.

Exactly! Like I explained, this was considered "normal" dating behavior back long before my time on this planet. Yet in my almost 21 and 1/2 years, I've seen what constitutes as "dating" nowadays. It can get bad.

Hah, I am exactly the same way OwO

Omg! Now that's a bar story if I ain't never heard one! What was the ultimate outcome?

Oh wow! 😂😂 That's one for the memories!

And that's exactly why I made this blog.
