A Good Run

So as My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic comes to a close, I suppose I should explain what happened with this account. Honestly, when I made this I only had one story in mind to post here: A Pony Shop of Horrors. The story involved a pre-princess Twilight Sparkle attempting to raise a changeling after finding an egg during the Canterlot wedding. I'm not entirely sure what Twilight was planning to do with the Changeling, either she would try to keep its love-lust down and get it to fit into Ponyville society, or teach it to feed off of other emotions. There was also going to be something about how Chrysalis could speak in English, but the other changelings could only hiss (something about under-developed minds). However one of the Flim Flam brothers sees the changeling and asks Twilight if they could market the changeling as a pet, but how that would work I never really figured out. Throughout the story, the changeling, Twilight 2 (named because it liked to take on Twilight's appearance), would trick other Equestrians into Twilight's basement (she still had the library) and started turning them into changelings. In the Chrysalis shows, there's a huge fight with the princesses and the elements of harmony against the changelings, and changelings would have ultimately won. There was a subplot involving Gilda, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash, but Gilda would get taken before any of it could get resolved. I think the idea was to have Twilight 2 come to Gilda as a long-lost relative and traumatize her. Other elements I thought of were using a MST3K framing device, having the Dazzlings in place of the three girls from the original musical, and the surprise twist that the whole story was a play. But due to some problems getting the story published, I gave up on it.

The Rock Wall was cancelled due to the show choosing to develop Maud's character, thus eliminating the need for the fic.

Two other stories that never got published were The Day the Party Died (I think that was the title) and Colgate's Bizarre Adventure. The first one was a story about Pinkie Pie getting over the lose of Cheese Sandwich, and the second was a list of stories that I had intended to use for my Ask Sadistic Colgate blog. I gave up on the first one because the story wasn't going anywhere and I didn't find it very interesting. I stopped writing the second because I started it a week ago, and realized at that point it was unnecessary to write the fic since it was really just a way to jot my ideas down and it would make very little sense to those who read it.

And I think that's it. I had a bunch of ideas that never really materialized and now the show's almost over. I hope everyone will enjoy the finale! And even after that, I'll still be a brony.
