Gone to greener pastures. For real.
In need of ideas of a fanfic. Would appreciate any ideas that you can give me. Thank you
what do you want to write?

I'm fresh out of ideas right now...

I get that. I just didn't know if you had any idea as to the type of story you want to write (short, long, FIM, EQG, genre, etc.).
Regardless, here are 10 ideas to get you started.
Have fun!
1) x gifts y sea monkeys.
2) x finds out they're dead. Goes on a quest to figure out how and why.
3) x finds themselves in Oz. Must find their way home.
4) x meets creator/author.
5) x joins a fanfiction writing group.
6) x goes to a new school.
7) x's (mis)adventures in an alternate reality.
8) x learns y.
9) In-universe fiction becomes reality.
10) It's the end of the world as x knows it.
I’ll try to help.
How about a Choosing Stone story?
Or.... Twilight gets divided into 3 beings, one Pegasus, one Unicorn, one Earth..?
Or...
Um...
Your favorite ship, going against the world...?
I don’t know. Hope this helps, friend.
...or maybe not something quite as ambitious? Your profile doesn't really tell me a whole lot. Have you written before?
If this is your first go around, I might suggest something simple.
Something happened to you or around you at work/school? Something you wished happened at work/school. Have you found yourself in a precarious situation? How might that scenario translate if it happened in Ponyville or CHS? How might a character in your place react?
I know this may sound crazy, but what sometimes works for me is to have a conversation with a character or have a conversation between a few characters. You'd be surprised what comes out.

Honestly, I have no idea. Whatever I come up with sounds stupid in my head.
I can't realy provide you some ideas at the moment. I don't have a basis.
You see, before you want to find ideas to write, you need to find what type of idea you wanna write.
When it comes to finding an idea, you need to be passionate about it. Think of it as a set of gates of your choosing, and that idea of yours has to go through those gates to suit your taste.
Those gates I just mentioned, are filters.
Case in point, is your idea an EQG or FiM?
Is it revolving around action? Drama? Melodic? Mute? Depressed? Casual? Clop? Non Con? Or better yet, is it a mixture of all these?
Maybe specify some of these agendas, then maybe I can think of one and two.

You'd be surprised just how much stupid works. But, you're never gonna write anything if things just bounce around in your head with no way out.
I think you're missing something here. You have a community of creators and consumers, use it.
Tell ya what: between now and Monday, make a list of concepts and ideas you would be interested in turning into a story. Put each of them into a blog along with as much detail as you can describing your concept and, maybe a proposed plotline, if you have one. Release them one at a time and see what bounces back.
Of course, this is the internet. Be prepared for brutal responses, but if something is truly "stupid", you'll know.
