Hmm... A rather interesting set of choices as far as pairing the MLP cast with video game stars. Some of which do make sense (Rainbow Dash/Sonic for obvious reasons), several took me a while to piece together, and others have me thinking... Okay? Either because I'm not as familiar with some of these video game stars (Mainly the robot and the walking little sack toy) or because I'm still thinking... 'How?'. Even though there is a brief explanation as to how they could work together, for me I just... Well, I have to remind myself that it's strictly your opinion and you know these pairings better than most of us would.

I'm sure some fans will definitely take a keen interest. Anyways, I had to do a bit of research on those video game stars paired with Pinkie and Rarity. While I admit I was a bit skeptical at first, after doing some research, I suddenly realized that they do in fact make sense. At least as far as personality with Claptrap and Pinkie, as well as the 'fashion' deal which 'apparently' Sackboy and Rarity have in common. At least Sackboy has options when it comes to his (Her, if it's 'Sackgirl') wardrobe choices.

Well obviously it makes sense for Twilight to be paired with Spider-Man. They were both geeky, socially awkward characters but unlike Twilight who hardly embraced friendship as opposed to her studies Peter Parker has never been... Popular to even get so much as an acknowledgment. But ever since they've both been granted magnificent powers, whether 'fate' wise for Twilight or an accident in Parker's case, suddenly these two had to learn to grow up really fast while keeping their friends and family safe from every threat on the streets. And both had to learn to live by this one code, 'With great power, comes great responsibility'. And while Spider-Man teams up with several heroes when the threat is too much to handle on his own, Twilight almost 'constantly' has her friends to help her out because even when the princesses say that it's 'her' responsibility to get this done... No matter how hard Twilight tries to live by their instructions, she's slowly having to admit there are some things she cannot do alone (Such as when she made this one sacrifice and asked Spike to return the Crystal Heart when she couldn't do it). They both have had their ups and downs, but in the end their hard work eventually pays off.
It makes sense for Luigi and Fluttershy as far as their cowardly ways are concerned, but when it really matters they do their best to step up. Course, while Fluttershy is often on top of the list for 'Most Popular Pony' on several polls, Luigi has often been overshadowed by his more successful brother. So much that on this one CAW show (Create-A-Wrestler) Luigi once turned on his brother while they were a team and went through this transformation to prove himself as World Championship material. It happened on this one program called 'NoDQ CAW Wrestling', great show by the way... They say it's the one that started the whole CAW trend.
As far as Applejack and Marston... While their paths are greatly different, the only thing I find in common with these two is that whatever they do they do so in regards to their family. Course, I would never expect Applejack to 'steal' if it were to help manage the farm (As a recurring theme of trying to raise money for her home and such) but Applejack once got in trouble with her cider business in her younger days when she faced the consequences of 'lying' and she has gotten herself in trouble before. Just not as extreme as Mr. Marston, who as shown in the second Red Dead game (More of a prequel than sequel) that he was once a member of a notorious band of outlaws.

And that's why I paired sonic with rainbow dash both characters are cocky overconfident but still royal friends who can see the group i people (even if it's the god of destruction chaos) and both characters are extremely loyal to their friends.

Yeah I didn't say anything about Rainbow Dash & Sonic because I've been long familiar with this pairing (I still remember this one dude doing a Christmas video when the characters tried to get a Christmas tree... And the time they had this race).
As far as the first Redemption game... I suppose it would make sense if we don't want the ponies to have to know where Marston came from as according to the second game (Even if Marston isn't the main protagonist). And 'even' if the Chronicles were to do the second game, it would have to star another group of characters (Maybe not even a group) so as not to cause any confusion.

Oh yeah sure, they are both rambunctious characters but everything they do they do so because they are about their friends. Course, Spike wouldn't gain the ability to fly until MUCH, much later although needless to say Spyro doesn't 'quite' fly per say (At least in some versions of the game) but rather he is able to 'glide' to get to one spot to another and stays mid-air because of some magic force or strong wind keeping him in midair (Especially in the early games).

I don't know much about 'Chaos' so to speak, but given that he is a 'villain' apparently... Sure, why not? If I followed the Sonic series more closely, I'd have all the input I would need.
