SO...I lied, didn't I? · 4:54am Nov 6th, 2012
Well, I claimed to be able to shell out two more chapters by the time Halo 4 came out, didn't I? Well, 90 minutes away from launch and I have barely been onto FiMFiction in the last two months...why?
FUCKING BORDERLANDS 2.
See, I LOVED it at first. Within the past week, though? I've found that the game's difficulty curve is just too much. Its not that its hard per say, but just the fact that it requires you to use one specific piece of gear for you to be effective, that said, I shield that boosts all of your bullets by 50K damage. Otherwise, only a rocket launcher or a sniper rifle shot to the head is the only way you can get these numbers with a single shot, and this shield booster does damage PER BULLET, so, with a shotgun that fires 18 pellets, you'll dish out somewhere in the neighborhood of 1,000,000 damage if you get a critical hit. Otherwise, it takes LITERALLY clips of ammo to kill certain lower level enemies, but a BOSS without this Shield? FUHGETABOUTIT.
Anyway, with Halo 4 coming out, I SHOULD be able to devote more time to the story. I know it sounds contrary, but Borderlands pretty much requires a two solid days (48 hours) of playing to level your character to 50, assuming you do all the side missions and know what you're doing. First playthrough when I DIDN'T know where everything was, I've logged about 4 whole days on two DIFFERENT characters.
With Halo 4, I'll have the first playthrough of the campaign done within two days or so, and then all I'll have left is multi player, and I can do that in 2 hour chunks. Borderlands had a LONG campaign, but Halo 4 has a short one (eight missions) and multiplayer, so I'll probably be able to do more chapters.
Sorry about the wait, folks. Anyway, I'm off to go wait in line. Wish me luck.
