    Bucket List Results

Remember the spring break bucket list I posted about a month ago? Well, it's time to look at the results. And I'd say I did quite well. Especially if you consider how much I added since the initial post. Who knows, I might be able to cross off a few more the next couple days, as my initial plan to be already playing Persona 5 Royal at this point took quite a hit.

    Goddammit Nintendo

Just casually releasing a new Direct.
And only half-revealing the next Smash fighter. Though I'm glad for the franchise.

Marwile watches SAO 2 Part 25 "The End (this time for real)" · 11:32pm Feb 1st, 2019

And here it is, the last episode of SAO 2. It has been a long, crazy ride. Nearly a full year with nearly weekly blogs about this trainwreck of an anime. But let's get the episode done first before I get sappy.

So this episode starts ironically how most animes end, a montage of all the characters doing happy things together with a random japanese song with oddly foreboding lyrics. Of course it doesn't stay that way as Asuna gets a message that Yuuki entered critical state. When she reaches the hospital it doesn't look good for Yuuki and Asuna finds out she has fighting to stay alive for much longer than expected. Asuna realizes that Yuuki wants to spend her final moments in the virtual world and meets her on the island they first met. She gifts Asuna her unique skill as a last present, which is, of course, called Mother's Rosario (don't have to talk about religion after all, phew).

After that Yuuki collapses to the ground as her death comes closer. The other Sleeping Knights also appear to give their final farewells. Soon they are followed by Kirito's group and then most of the players of ALO, all of them came to stand by and pray for the best swordfighter in the game. I'd be lying if I said that this scene didn't make me sad. And thus SAO made me go through the full spectrum of emotions.

During Yuuki's wake in the real world Asuna meets Siune, who tells her own story of how she had battled leukemia for several years and nearly giving up before meeting Yuuki and getting new resolve through her. And now, one day after Yuuki's death, got the news that she beat her illness and the other Sleeping Knights are improving, too, as if Yuuki doesn't want them to join her yet. Kirito and the doctor join the two and tell them how much Yuuki's data will help others. But the joy is short lived when Kirito realizes that the mysterious sponsor of the medical technology is no other than Kayaba. It was such a good end, did you really have to bring him in at the last second?

And that was Mother's Rosario. Did I enjoy it? Yes, very much in fact. Is it worth watching the rest of SAO for? Hell No! It's only seven episodes at the end of the season and can easily be understood even without having seen the previous arcs, you only wouldn't get one or two references. I mean the saying that the easiest way to make SAO good is to remove Kirito has to come from somewhere.

And that were two seasons of SAO. Thank you very much to everyone that stuck around and read through all these blogs. Not sure what I'll do next, especially right now with exams approaching, might take a few weeks break. Not sure if I'll watch Alicization, currently not in the mood to binge something, or, well, not SAO at least. Now what will I blog about next? As a fan of top tens maybe I give them another try. I would really like to talk about BBTAG or Smash Bros and which characters I'd like to see in those. Or potential movesets for smash. Or maybe getting back to writing fanfics here. I've been playing with the thought of making a crossover fanganronpa, but I'm afraid it might too big of a project for me. Or finish that other Danganronpa crossover I wrote one paragraph for over half a year ago. Or maybe I'll talk about fanfics from other franchises and give you guys some good recommendations. Who knows?

And I still haven't gotten better at ending these blogs, so...
See ya!
