Born in Manehatten, Nic was a nerdy pony when his father got him interested in fictional stories, heroes, and fantastic places he dreams of traveling. Making friendships with other ponies was difficult for Nic because of his autism, preventing him from making friends for many years.
Hoping to study writing and becoming a storyteller like the kind who wrote his books, Nic journeyed to Canterlot and study at a writer's class. One day, while he visited the library, Nic bumped into a unicorn named Diana Blades, a duelist unicorn. Hoping to apologize to her, Nic bought her a drink and had a talk with her. This talk lead to them becoming friends, then more than that.
