Things I have to do for the final wrap up: Write the Crystal Empire wrap up sections, general editing and splitting of the chapter into thirds, and writing the long description and fixing the short description possibly.
A thing I learned while writing this story is that I have absolutely no reference how female x female smut even really works or sounds like. I mean I know exactly what the opposite is like, but nope my penchant for semi-accuracy is like just don't sound like a medical textbook. I also don't want it to sound like a complete instruction manual on how to build IKEA furniture. Been a rather odd time where I've had to google some odd questions just because I want to try to do something different.
Also fun historical thing- ancient cultures were mostly okay with the not straight stuff. Bit hard to tell with the Ancient Egyptians but there is a debate on if certain tombs depict homosexual couples. the Greeks and Romans were kind of into the whole thing at certain phases of life and had this whole structured system of how things worked. Sure they focused on the active/ passive role dynamic but it exists. Vikings are a bit harder to place but with how a lot of their stuff was Christianized and changed so there's no mention of that in the sagas, but there's no denial either. Ancient China and the East has some references as well.
You could technically make any of the Pillars whatever shipping pair and it could probably work. Maybe except Meadowbrook though that's just my personal taste since I have connected her Cajun/ Southern accent to be just mentally the straightest accent ever.
God that's a weird tangent.
I mean not as odd as I usually get with trying to get horse accurate foods or food outliers that people have seen horses eat (such as meat or literal small birds or fish) just to make the stories I write a little more internally consistent. Also, oddly enough, I think this is probably the most lines Spike has actually had in any of my stories. Sure it's like four or five at most, but still he does exist tangentially within the plot. That has nothing to do with the paragraph above, but it just stuck out to me.
