    Molten Phoenix!

No, that not what it's called in case you're wondering, thought it was funny.

Anyway, Molten Fox rewrite is being worked on, been pretty dark about it due to it and IRL stuff but letting you know it's in the works.

    Cheers.

    The world is Burning (Pt.2)

This is an update on my last blog post about my Dragon story. I was asking my Co-Writer about it (He's a really good friend of mine and I trust him a lot) and I came to the conclusion that the story has to be cancelled. I really really hate cancelling stories but if I keep them as Hiatus it'll be chewing in the back of my mind and, well, it's really unhealthy.

The world is burning... are we fine?

First things first: Geyol, the Kirin Sorceress is not dead... like, really it's not dead. I'm putting it on hiatus because of what I'm going to say next. It's not dead, I still want to write it but... Let's get to what I want to say.

    Sunset with Glasses

I... I don't know why but I really like Sunset Shimmer in Glasses. I really do.

Maybe I think Redheads with Glasses are hot and cute... Can you say Sunset is a redhead? Hmmm.

RWBY, Season 6, Ep 6. You tired yet? · 6:31am Dec 9th, 2018

Spoilers ahead!

So I never really do this sort of thing but After watching the latest episode I just go to give my two cents. Let me set the scene for you:

PS: If you haven’t watched the Episode or any of Season 6 then this be spoilers!

So Team RWBY, Qrow, Oscar, and Maria are in the Brunswick Farms at night, Qrow says that they are all going to head out in the morning to Ruby since the storm has passed, which she was grateful because dear lord that place if scary as Fuck!

Okay I just want to add a little thing to this, everything in the Brunswick Farms is just plain creepy. This is supposed to be an action adventure comedy right? (At least to me it is) Where the hell did Horror come from?

Moving on, Qrow points out that he has a bad feeling about everything and with him around, something will go wrong... to which Ruby sees that he has a large bottle of booze beside him. Ruby asks if he’s okay to which he gave a halfhearted answer and tells her to tell the others to go get some rest, and that he’ll wake them before dawn.

One thing I want to point out is that Ruby is now worried about her uncle after the events of the lamp from an episode or two ago. I would be to if I had an awesome uncle that has his whole world rocked.

In the other room Maria tells Oscar, and anyone else who is listening, that she’s reading the head of the households' diary. It seems his family and a few other families founded the farm and tried to live on their own. Well it didn’t turn out that good. Okay, that’s not true it seems that it did work for some time. Oscar thinks it’s the Grimm which Maria says that it’s just one of many other hardships in this life they took. As she’s explaining this to Oscar Ruby comes in and says that they need some sleep, and they’ll wake up before dawn which everyone is tiredly overjoyed at this. This caused a funny scene where Maria calls Qrow a little kid and grumbles to herself as she moves over to another chair and turns on the light.

This made me laugh. I love these kinds of characters, they bring a smile to my face when I see them. Ruby seemed to happily shrug at this as she too went to bed. Cut to the next morning... maybe a bit later in the morning, and we see everyone is asleep still, even Qrow. It wasn’t until the bottle Qrow was holding falls out of his hand that wakes Ruby.

We also see Ruby in her normal outfit... with the Lamb on her belt... Ruby, dear I know you have to protect that from everything, even Oscar due to Oz, but that’s a bit unconformable don’t you think? Anyway Ruby goes over and opens the blinds before going over to see Qrow with a few more bottles of booze around him. Ruby tried to wake him up, but he simply sleepily pushed her away.

This got Ruby to throw the bottle at the wall, waking Qrow and maybe the others up. Qrow sees what’s going on and realized that he over slept past sunrise. Qrow, I know you have a lot on the mind but come on man, you really need to get it together. You’re one of my favorite characters, don’t ruin it for me! Ruby then gave him a hug, telling him that he can come and talk to her or Yang about things which I believe he should!

The next scene is Weiss finishing welding the hitch to Yangs bike with her weapon and semblance... I think. Yeah... Weiss welding. That’s kinda cool. Oscar asks if they can just go back to bed, which Blake points out that if they were so tired maybe they should go make breakfast. Which is a very good point, breakfast is the most important meal of the day and you should not miss out on that. Good on you Blake.

Oscar asks if she wants to make it which she answers that she doesn’t... awww you had so much hope for you.

We soon see Qrow and Ruby pushing a cart they found up to the bike and all they have to do is hook it up to it and- the tire popped just as Qrow puts his foot on it. Maria points out that the others are beacons of Bad Luck... which annoys Qrow more. Yang thinks the universe doesn’t want them to get to Atlas, bringing up storms, fights and points out that she’s so tired, which Blake agrees. Ruby says that this is what they signed up for which Oscar points out that they signed up for saving the world, not delay the inevitable. Weiss chimes in saying that she’s been thinking and wonder why they are going to Atlas in the first place. Ruby says that they have to which Yang asked why again, Ozpin hid them away behind giant doors under giant schools of Huntsman, she also wonders how long it would take for Salem to find the Lamp in the middle of nowhere. Well the fact that the lamp is attracting the Grimm like moths pretty easy if you ask me.

I want to point out the tone difference with everyone, they began to sound softer, they have given up on hope and, most notable, their eyes are dilated. This is some good clues that there’s something wrong with everyone as this wasn’t the case some time ago. Going to put a pin on this for a moment as I continue.

Ruby tries to explain that the Grimm would find it but Yang says that it would take years for them to find it buried or chucked in the well, which again the Lamp attracts Grimm so it wouldn’t take that long. Ruby holds the lamp and sees the rest of the team standing before her.

Okay, pulling that pin out now, at first I like the subtle hints they are showing but now with the three of them standing in front of her and in the shot where you can see all of their eyes are dilated. This is a little too on the nose guys.

So Ruby is sorta peer pressured to give up the Lamp, which I believe that reason for that isn’t her giving up, something is forcing her to do so. You can see that as she says that’s she Tired and her eyes are also dilated, again right on the head guys. She holds the Lamp out which I have to ask, does the person in the lamp sees this? If so then they were seeing a lot of nothing over the many many years... dang.

Anyway, you see Ruby struggle to simply drop it before seeing glowing red eyes in the well, too which she freaked out and dropped the Lamp down the well. Ruby now freaks out that she did that, saying that she didn’t mean too which Weiss tells her that everything is okay, which leads to Ruby saying everything is not okay and that they need to go down and get it. She also mentions that there’s something down there and it looked at her.

Not going to lie, I jumped when I saw the eyes. Why is it always Red Eyes! Yang tells Ruby that she’s tired, and they should just go. This leads to Ruby snapping at her sister, saying again they have to go get the lamp. This scene... confuses me, as Qrow tells Oscar to go look for a spare tire and Ruby yelling that she’s not leaving without the lamb... Now I have a feeling that it should have shown someone saying that they should leave the Lamp or something to make that scene a bit more sense but no one did... weird.

After she said that the rest of Team RWBY agrees to go down to find the lamp which Qrow goes off to get his fix of booze as Oscar goes finds the spare, leaving Maria reading on the deck.

Now the four of them go down the well... uhh, guys? How are you going to get back up? Don’t you have some rope or something? Guys? Another thing is that the lamp isn’t at the bottom and Yang points out that the current may have washed it away a bit, too which the team goes down to look for it.

Back up top Maria sees on a page of the writer finding a solution to... something. Back down in the well Ruby and co can’t seem to find it which Blake says that they should turn off the light and follow the glow. Ruby agreed and put the light away and pulled out her weapon. I kinda want to point out that there was an odd animation thing from what I saw but it was quick as Ruby’s weapon kinda glitched a bit. Back up top Maria sees a passage that the Huntsman pointed something out to the writer one day. Back down in the spooky caves the team found the Lamp via glowing blue light it gives off. Ruby smiles as she goes off to get it.

Back up top Maria turns the page, and we all see an image of some kind of slender man Grimm called ‘The Apathy’... Right as Ruby got the lamp and sees... this.

So... yeah... NOPE!

So I’ll get back to them in a bit but Ruby freaks the fuck out which cased the rest of her team to snap out of it, because they all care for the young huntress. When Ruby runs into them they all see the Grimm following them, which Ruby fires a few shots at them. This caused the Grimm to let out a scream which has an effect on the girls, making their weapons somehow heavy. Maria runs up to them telling them to run- Now hold on one moment! How the heck did she get down there?! She’s old! She shouldn’t have jumped down the well!?! Just... what?!

They all started to run... which looks weird if you ask me, straight to the well WITH NO ROPE MIND YOU, and see the Grimm already there, and let out another scream that effects them again. Ruby tells everyone to run down another tunnel which they did.

We are given a few seconds of them running through the tunnels as more and more Grimm seems to be appearing. They soon got into a room where there’s more Grimm waiting for them. Again there as a Scream which got everyone to fall onto their knees. Maria tells them that there’s a way out and low and behold, it the wine cellar door... good lord these things were underneath them all this time! Ruby tries to urge everyone to go but sees that Blake couldn’t, saying ‘It’s fine...’, as the Grimm reach for her. This caused Ruby’s Silver Eyes to trigger and push back the Grimm, snapping Blake and the others out for a moment. Weiss was the first to run up the stairs to see that the door is locked, Yang tries to run up to blast the door open but another scream got them back down to their knees.

Everything seems lost, Blake is out and Yang doesn’t have the strength to climb the steps. Maria, instead of going to the door, goes over to Ruby and asked her what colour is her eyes, to which Ruby answers with Silver. Maria tells Ruby to think about her family and friends, those that love her and focused on them as she covered Ruby’s ears. We the others starting to fall as Maria talks to Ruby, telling her that life is beautiful and precious, that it needs to be protected. With this, Ruby used her Silver Eyes to turn the Grimm into Dust. Yeah, that just happened, more on that later.

With the Grimm gone for the moment Yang blasted the door open, letting the others out of the tunnel and into the wine room... where Qrow is drunk in. After waking the Drunk Qrow up the others began to run out, Which by the way Yang grabbed Blakes hand as she ran out... just saying, leaving Weiss, Ruby, and Drunk Qrow alone as Weiss has some unfinished business to tend to.

Back outside Oscar finished up filling the tire up, guessing he didn’t find a spare... or maybe he did and just need to give it some air, when Yang, Blake, and Maria come running out of the house.

In the wine cellar Weiss starts throwing bottles of wine at the door to the tunnel, which Drunk Qrow asks what she’s doing, which Weiss starts using her semblance to set the room on fire just as the Grimm starts to get in. Weiss and Ruby soon help Drunk Qrow out of the house which he was resistance of before seeing the now on fire Grimm climbing out of the tunnels. This must’ve freaked Qrow out for a number of reasons as the last three get out of the house, onto the cart, and GTFO of there, leaving a now burning house.

After a slow scene change we hear Maria explain that the Grimm they all faced, the Apathy, aren’t that strong or ferocious as other Grimm, but they are quite durable as they took a few shots from a high-powered rifle and being set of Fire and not be fazed by this. They have the power to drain the will out of people make it, so they can’t go on anymore and sleep.

We soon learn that Bartleby, the last owner of the Farm, was running out of money to keep the farm going, so he decided to do something about it and stop paying the Huntsman for protection and got two Apathy away from their pack and got them down to the cellar, his thought was that if he could keep everyone calm it would keep the Grimm away since they are attracted by negative emotions. That would’ve work if he sealed the entrance right then and there, but he did it the next day, letting the rest of the pack to find and sneak into the cellar.

The planned worked, it did calm everyone down... but so much that they all died in their sleep.

After some apologies were said, Ruby asked Maria how she knows so much on the Grimm, and about her eyes, to which Maria states that she once had Silver eyes... Key word ‘Had’. And that’s the end.

This was a great episode, with some questionable stuff but that’s just nitpicks for me. Next Episode we will find out who Maria is and Ruby can Finally figure out what the heck Silver eyes are.

I love the Grimm as well, the Apathy are as just scary in more ways than one. Draining the will to go on is down right devious and effective and the fact they are durable as all heck makes them very scary.

If I had to rate this episode I say... 9.7/10. Good build up to this episode and pay off.

So, this was a little review of the latest episode of RWBY, again I normally don’t do this sort of thing but... I just had to. If you all want me to keep going with this, I can do a bit more reviews on this sort of thing, though maybe it would just be one shots. If now, well no harm was done.
