    The Best CMC Story

There's a series of six chapter books known as Ponyville Mysteries. I highly recommend them, and they even fit the Nightmare Night atmosphere! They have characters staring into the face of death, and lore, and an overarching plotline. It's the CMC at their best.

That's all I've got to say right now.

    A Confession...

I hadn't watched most of season 8 or any of season 9 until a few weeks ago, nor any of G5 until this week, due to horrible anxiety. (Yes, anxiety about watching a tv show I want to watch. My brain is messed up.) So in no particular order, I need to get out some thoughts.

    Spike's Magic

I'm watching through the show again, and noticed a lore thing that I thought was worth making note of. In Spike at Your Service (yes, that horrible episode where Spike is depicted as clumsy and incapable of things like cooking and cleaning that he's been shown to be skilled at in most other episodes), Spike has this personal "Spike the Dragon Code" card. But what's interesting is where it

    Isn't It Funny...

...When you're just looking at the latest stories, and suddenly there's a propagandist promotion of an extremist who advocates against democracy and openly admires the worst dictator in history in the description of what you naively thought was a shipping story?

...When an avowed Communist asks for money as though that isn't inherently hypocritical?

Finally! · 10:50pm Nov 3rd, 2012

It is Saturday, which is usually enough of a reason to celebrate. But more than that, we got power back this morning! That was four days without power, three without heat (someone lent us a generator late thursday) and two days without internet access. I would say that I'm glad it's over, but it isn't. Millions still don't have power, thousands are without homes, and fuel is becoming scarce. Some people seem optimistic, but I don't think this will be over for weeks yet, if not months.

On to a less depressing topic: If anyone at all sees this blog, you'll notice that I now have an avatar. I know that most people have screenshots from the show, or from another show they like, or they have a piece of fanart they found, or if they're a good artist, created. I know that the avatar seems a bit too eyepopping, a bit too crude, a bit too out of place. The thing is, I like it this way. I am proud of not only being different, but of being able to stick out like a sore thumb. If some think I'm strange, if they don't like me for it, so be it. I personally think more avatars should be a crude drawing the person threw together in half an hour on paint. Ok, the turtle took like 20 minutes, and the background took like 4 hours. And if you're wondering why it's a turtle? That's the only thing I trust myself to draw. If it was anything else, it would be thoroughly unrecognizable as what it was supposed to be. I may Try to draw a better turtle, but my avatar will forever remain a turtle drawn by me.

And another thing. I now have a count in my Bio to illustrate how little self control I actually have. Another example of this lack of self control is this announcement I wish to make to nopony in-particular: I may or may not have said in a previous post that I would not submit any fanfic until it was finished. Therefore, I may or may not have lied. I have done a complete one-eighty in my head, and now plan on posting any and every chapter I finish, even if I have no idea when I'll get back to the story. So, a word to the wise, which I will repeat on every story I post. Even if it is really good, be careful about your decision to track one of my stories, as it may get an update three days later, or thirty, or three-hundred. You have been warned.

Live Long and Prosper.
