Jodie Whittaker and The Doctor · 2:50pm Oct 8th, 2018
Something a little different but I thought I might share my thoughts on Jodie Whittaker as the new Doctor, as I am a big fan of Doctor Who.
I know some corners of the internet doubted her ability to play such an iconic character, but I'd like to think most of those voices are now silenced.
She was The Doctor from the moment she fell through that roof, it felt so natural the way she just got up and got right on with it. I enjoyed the energy she gave off and the way everyone else bounced off her, Nothing came across as unnatural, she was just The Doctor, that's the only way I can describe her performance.
I am really looking forward to this series.
I guess we saw two different shows or something. I watched it and was very disappointed in the acting. She came off as stiff and just...hollow. Not as bad as missy (the female master), but very flat as a character. Meh, we will see perhaps she will grow into it.

To be fair, most of the Doctors do have some rough patches in their first series or so

So yeah, I see her premiere as quite good. Wonder what Eleven would think, I mean, he did think he was a girl when he first regenerated. Still not ginger though
