Marwile watches SAO 2 Part 5 "Kirito's Logic"

I'm running out of things to say at the start of these blogs. So... ehh... the new dlc blade in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 reminds some people of Kirito.

Kirito and Sinon reach the tower just in time to apply for the tournament. Quick reminder that this is an alternate universe, because despite playing in the future Kirito's surprised he has to enter his personal data to enter an official tournament with money rewards. Sinon then further elaborates that fact by explaining how GGO's company would never be able to exist in our world, as people barely know anything about it.

So... Kirito just started playing this game, he was only shopping so far abd he already enters a big, official tournament... OK...

While waiting for it to start they enter a private room and Sinon undresses down to her underwear. During the awkward silence in which Kirito reveals he's a guy the camera makes sure to show her from every angle. I think I actually forgot to mention the frequent buttshots of Sinon so far. So yeah, these are a thing.

Sinon explains Kirito how the game actually works and we also see her friend again, whose ingame name is Spiegel (german for mirror). That doesn't sound ominous at all... Oh, and Kirito still hasn't dropped the girl voice for no reason.

Anyways, Kirito starts his first match and guess what happens... backflipping through sniper shots, the wind conveniently stopping when he tries listen for his opponents position, perfectly blocking every bullet that would have hit him with his sword (with so many lines he shouldn't even be able to know which would hit him unless he sees himself in 3rd person). Yes, Kirito wins without many problems.

Kirito respawns in the lobby and finds Deathgun standing right behind him. At this point we have to accept that Kirito's logic operates differently than ours, because just from DG telling him he recognizes his name and fighting style he deduces that DG must be a SAO survivor. He also could've played ALO or maybe just saw him on the news or something. The Laughing Coffin symbol on his arm the confirms this.

Remember Laughing Coffin? The assassin guild from SAO that killed other players? They appeared for a few minutes in that one episode where a man killed his wife for becoming independent and later one of them tried to kill Kirito, but then Kirito killed him and we never heard of them ever again.

As a nerd I am of course appreciating that Kirito's laser sword does make most of the typical sounds from Star Wars, but Deathgun's mask making breathing noises and him wearing a black coat is really too much. This is trying way too much to be Star Wars.
