Hiatus and name change · 10:45am Jul 17th, 2018
Okay, so I'm sure that most of the people that have followed me have noticed by now, but I haven't updated all that often. Really, I haven't written much at all in the last few months. I just can't really find the motivation to, or really see why anyone would care about my horse stories on the internet. Either way, consider this an official hiatus. Heck, I don't even know if I'll find the urge to write again. Either way, I'll be leaving for a while. I'll still be relatively active, keeping an eye on my feed and PM's and all that. Anyway, I guess this is goodbye for a while. I'll still be available for a chat or editing job though.
On another note, after certain personal events, I've decided to change my name from tommal to pixelbit5. This is partially to fall in line with my other various accounts, and for a couple other personal reasons that I may choose to disclose at a later date.
Anyway, I'll see all of you some other time!
That's a shame. I too, lost the motivation to write. However, my motivation returned when I simply wrote something new rather than concern myself with the old. Additionally, you need to not care for how much attention your fictions get. Think of it as a hobby, or perhaps even practice for the future, when you want to publish works in real life. I'm sure the spark will return to you, and if it was anything like the return of my spark, you'll find yourself unable to tear yourself away from writing I'm sure. One thing I see that stops people from writing on this site in particular is because they don't want to do MLP fiction anymore, and that's understandable. I mean, hell, I haven't even seen past season 4. However, I write it because I like telling stories. I don't regard the characters as MLP characters, they're just entities for me to tell my stories. I think when this website becomes 'genfiction' and you suddenly have a lot more choice with what to write, I think you'll become a proficient author on this website. Anywho, I hope you have a good hiatus.
