Today, Overly Sarcastic Productions came out with this. It is a discussion of the god Dionysus and the transition of his representation, from underworld ruler of all, through being the god of destructive madness, to being the god of fun times and parties.

The parallels to Discord cannot be ignored.

I'm not, necessarily, predicting that this is where they're going to go with the character. But if they do, there will be some who complain that he has been nerfed. At which point, I may say, "Hey. It's Chinatown Greece Equestria."
