...The hell am I getting myself into?

Okay, so I decided to go look at some of the authors I follow to see what other stories they've written. What I didn't know was that I would've wound up favoriting 20+ stories. ...Shit, well I am going to just do my best and read. After all, Stephan King said that in order to become a better writer you need to read...a lot. So here's hoping and praying that it works out well for me.

    You need to read more.

So, I looked at the number of Favorites I had listed that I hadn't read. It is over 1000. I think I need to just get a whole sick week to do nothing but read.
    On another note.

    Saw this and thought this...

Basic structure and laws of souls.

The human (& pony) soul is the highest form of creation. It allows for a wide variation in almost any way and yet follows the same basic foundation for everyone and everypony. The foundation created for the soul of intelligent beings, however, is so strong in comparison to the souls of other living things that it has allowed for the wide personality types and mannerisms that make each individual

    WHY U NO UPDATE SOONER!?

OK, believe me when I say that I understand how hard the writing process is. It is excruciating to try and do and often results in you banging your head against a wall. That being said, what is it with people being so slow to update? I am working on something right now but I'm not even thinking of posting it until I have the first five chapters completed. That way, if it is successful, I will

The ramblings of a madman searching for meaning.

Those, whose eyes shine the most, have seen the most horrors. Those who laugh the loudest have felt the most pain. Those who have shown the most compassion have felt the most cruelty. Those who have shown the most loyalty have felt the most betrayal. Those who have shown the most generosity have seen the most greed. And those who have the most honesty have been lied to the most. This is the world

Basic structure and laws of souls. · 1:49am Oct 29th, 2012

The human (& pony) soul is the highest form of creation. It allows for a wide variation in almost any way and yet follows the same basic foundation for everyone and everypony. The foundation created for the soul of intelligent beings, however, is so strong in comparison to the souls of other living things that it has allowed for the wide personality types and mannerisms that make each individual unique.
That being said, all souls follow the same set of rules for their creation. Those rules are:
1. ALL souls are immortal. Once a soul is created it cannot ever be destroyed. This means that we must be careful when crafting souls to make sure that the soul we make does not wind up a corrupt shell of what we wanted it to be.
2. All souls are reincarnated. Once a soul leaves a body, it doesn't pass onto an afterlife. A soul is a form of energy and because energy can neither be created nor destroyed, souls are in a constant state of reincarnation. While this may conflict with various religious views (mine included) this is something that cannot be denied as a fact when proper proof has been presented.
3. Some souls are stronger than others. You see people who are ‘alpha’ personalities; these are people or ponies that have a soul forged of a stronger ethereal substance. However, how a soul has been raised can be critical to how strong the soul is in that incarnation. Strength of the teachers (also known as parents) can affect this as well.
All souls follow these three basic rules and have the same basic elements that compose the foundation of our souls. Those elements are compassion, loyalty, joy, selflessness, integrity, peace, anger, cruelty, selfishness, depression, deceit, betrayal, and love.
Love is unique in that it is neither positive nor negative. It is, however, heavily influenced by all the other elements that comprise souls. Love can be jealous, it can be shallow, it can be a lot of things, but it cannot exist if there were no feelings there to begin with. You can’t love something in an instant after showing an indifferent reaction to it each time it has been presented. It starts with initial positive feelings and snowballs from there.
As I said before; some souls are stronger than others, this can be because of upbringing but also because of what the soul is made out of. Something made out of metal is stronger than something made out of paper. Souls work the same way.
This concludes the basics of souls and their construction. For more information, please contact swiftstriker21 at BronyNet.com or fimfiction.net.

Is this the prelude to something awesome? Because I quite like what this is implying...

Eeyup. Soul crafting is one of the most dangerous forms of creation. Only true gods can craft souls from scratch although a few humans (and maybe ponies *hint* *hint*) have been able to craft one.
It did not end well for us.
But don't be surprised if you actually see something from me soon.

Is it not showing the text between each clap?

456541
GODDAMN C++! I configured this thing to try and show "freakin' epic" between each clap but I f***ed something up.
Fail approved.

456552 Ah well, this was a pointlessly long conversation about a broken gif :facehoof:

456560
Maybe, but it is still FAIL APPROVED.
