Second week of therapy has begun.
Good news, my neck is showing signs of recovery, but the C5-C6 facet joint is inflamed on my right side, making lateral tilt and rotation in that direction ridiculously painful. The doctor wants to focus my recovery there, which will hopefully reduce the headaches and sinus pain.
Bad news, my shoulder is being stubborn. My pectoral has been added into the list of afflictions, and the doctor wants me to come in for functional taping to try and force my muscles all back into normal alignment while still giving me a nominal range of movement. Unfortunately, for the time being, my grip strength is suffering, and numbness and tingling are expected. I need to stop using my arm and rest it with an ice pack the moment I feel either of those symptoms.
I don't really understand the jargon or the letters, I just know my neck and my arm freaking hurt, and laying on ice packs and hugging a pillow only helps so much.
Still about a week out from the police report being released, so my lawyer's waiting for that. He hopes the perpetrator is already arrested by that time, to make getting his insurance information much easier to come by. If the perpetrator has not been arrested, my lawyer has said he'll be forced to employ private investigators, lengthening the amount of time my case will take considerably.
I'm going to go lay down on an ice pack, hug a pillow, and try not to cry, wondering just what deity is pissed off at me.
