"Grannies Gone Wild" thoughts · 3:29am Apr 18th, 2018

After seeing this episode....I have great sympathy for those young fellows who take care of their elders regularly. It looks like a challenging prospect. Something I will have to learn about when my parents get older.

My "Oh, no" moment was when the grannies fooled Rainbow into believing they were going to take a nap, when they were just gonna sneak away as soon as RD is not looking. I can't blame Rainbow on this, seniors are very good at fooling us if we are not careful.

A brief impression of the Grannies:

Granny Smith sure has an interesting craving for those Mexican food. Her....plot is gonna make her regret it once she finally tastes it. 😜

Apple Sauce....all I thought in my mind was: COUGER ALERT, COUGER ALERT! Yeeeeah....I question if this is still a kid's show.

Goldie Delicious sure is good at horse-shoes, and is VERY opinionated. I'm still put off with her stereotypical house cat lifestyle...I prefer dogs.

Apple Rose reminds me of those old spanish ladies who still have a LOT of energy in their age, making them excellent dancers. Imagine that.

I was kind of expecting to see the Flim-Flam brothers when I saw their statues, instead we have a possible relative of Trixie. I'm wondering if this will be explored later.

I liked this exchange:

:rainbowderp: Excuse me, sir! Have you seen a group of old mares around here?!

Football Stallion: Lady, you just described half the ponies in this place.

Me: :facehoof::ajsmug: Rainbow Dash, you stupid idiot.

Speaking of the Football Stallion, I would love to see him again. He looks like an interesting fella.

The Applejack ghost was getting annoying until the last two times. Nuff said. And Poor Big Mac, like Spike, he is another male character suffering abuse from the writers.

The moral of the story is...not clear to me. What were we suppose to learn? I hazard to guess that Gillian M. Berrow was more interested in writing a fun episode than a moral centered one. That's what I think anyway.

Overall, this is an episode worth watching again. I only wished the shenanigans were more...ridiculous in a fun way. Oh well.

So I'm not the only one who was worried about this.

Yeah, I couldn't help but think, "cradle robber," when she tried to hit on the attendant at the hotel. He was like four the five times younger! :pinkiesick: And Granny Smith even said the word "saucy" just afterwards... :unsuresweetie:
