Easter Dinner · 7:59pm Apr 9th, 2018
So around Christmas, i showed you all what a Danish Christmas looked like... and i was thinking, why not show what a Danish Easter dinner is like...
first you need to do the prep work... Like:
chopping mushrooms for the sauce
get a leg of lamb
remove tendens and clumps of fat
then you take a butt load of parsley
and a TON of garlic
and you start stuffing the leg of lamb with it
on both sides
then you rub it with a little cooking oil, salt and pepper, and place two thin slices of butter on it
then you place it in a cooking bag, and pour in a little water
make sure to make a small cut in the TOP of the back so steam can escape the bag
stick it in the oven for two hours
when the time is right, you can start on the rest of the meal
when taken out of the oven, the meat should look like this
and TA-DAAAA
a Traditional Danish Sperling family Easter dinner
composed of tender leg of lamb
it is so TENDER
fresh boiled potaoes
green beans and baby carrots
and a nice creamy mushroom sauce
then it is just to dig in and enjoy
oh and if you are wondering what that clear-green blob is, it is mint gele, it goes super well with lamb
