The Rainbow Strike Series - A Summary and an Important Message (Warning: Spoilers!)

Rainbow Strike was in his early twenties during the events of the Rainbow Strike Series, starting off with the set-up story, All Rainbow and No Colour.

He started a band with his musically-gifted girlfriend, Remedy, after running away from the torment he was receiving at home, he became famous, leading to high quantities of wealth, he had a new lead on life, he had ambitions and dreams that were coming to fruition. He was even getting ready to meet his daughter, which sadly never happened because of the murder of Remedy that was carried out by the blood-thirsty gang he used to run with. To add insult to injury, Remedy never got to tell Strike of her pregnancy due to her death happening before she could. Instead, he had to hear it from the doctor.

With this dark cloud re-entering his life and making him severely depressed once more, he becomes even more miserable and frightened for his life. Because of his fears and becoming paranoid of when he might be killed next, Rainbow Strike takes some money and personal belongings with him as he leaves his girlfriend's penthouse and heads back to his one true home - Ponyville.

Upon getting there, he seeks out his older sister, which is where The Long Lost Rainbow comes into place. Following this, we see Strike try and fix the broken pieces of his life once again as he forms bonds, old and new, with his family that he hasn't seen in many years, and the friends of his sister, Rainbow Dash.

Throughout the series, Strike is constantly learning more about his new friends and his sister, and it didn't take long for them to both become close and inseparable. However, despite all of this, the past was still bearing down an incredible weight in the back of Strike's mind, haunting him to no end. As one could expect from this lingering torment, Strike hides it and tries to conceal it as best as he can, but he will soon realise that it was a mistake.

Following through with the series to Moving On, the time has been accelerated to a couple years since Strike moved back into his hometown and opened a music shop, and in doing so, he offered to teach young ponies how to play musical instruments, something he has a lasting passion for. From his time in the band he made with Remedy and his two friends, Beats and Blaze, he was able to teach colts and fillies of all ages to play various instruments. However, the one instrument Strike was most famous for was the electric guitar.

He used to perform, even to the present day, and he even taught Rainbow Dash. However, when the series moves to The Coldest Winter, it is shown that life has taken its toll on Rainbow Strike, and as such, he had become incredibly vulnerable to his own insecurities and negative thoughts. Because of this, the day before he had a scheduled guitar lesson with Apple Bloom, Strike had committed suicide by slashing his legs open with a knife. Unfortunately for Apple Bloom, she had to be the one to discover his body and become scarred from the experience for life.

On a serious note, people, suicide is not the way to go. I've seen people do this to themselves all the time, and in this shitbag world, it's honestly no wonder that some find it as an alternative. Even still, I wouldn't do it, and I urge you to consider the same. Don't. Do. It.

Too many great and talented people have died from it, and just recently, one of the most well-known musicians of all time, Chester Bennington, of Linkin Park, committed suicide. Not only that, but Robbin Williams chose the same fate. So did Kurt Cobain, although it is widely speculated that it was actually murder (Even I have my suspicions on that).

Something has to change, and the sooner, the better.
