Modern Gaming: The Invincible Iron Man (GBA) Review · 12:52pm Apr 7th, 2018

A new edition of Modern Gaming is up as this month the first part of Avengers: Infinity War gets released in theaters. Of course, to celebrate the occasion I plan to do a list of Marvel games for the month leading to the film's release. Everyone knows that Marvel's Cinematic Universe was a massive success for a decade since Iron Man debuted in 2008. At first I was really excited when the MCU started because Marvel managed to get a shared verse right for the movies. As you probably do not know this was only possible in the cartoons and comics from the past but now they brought this universe to life on the big screen. Unfortunately, the MCU's quality has gotten worse since Age of Ultron in Phase 2 (the second worst film in the series). With a blotched Civil War (that should've been an Avenger film) and constantly ruining their villains (Mandarin, Ultron, and Zemo) gives me little hope for the MCU. Let's hope they don't turn Thanos into a Lord Zedd and the Avengers into the Power Rangers in Infinity War.

For this edition I will go over The Invincible Iron Man for the GBA and was in development by Torus Games. The game is an action platformer and the theme has Tony try to get his latest new armor that Morgan Stark, Blizzard, and Crimson Dynamo stole from his lab. For years Iron Man didn't have that many games as he was always shoved into other Marvel games. The review actually goes over Iron Man's first solo game as it got released in 2002, six years before the MCU started. If fact, they even used his old look from the 90's in this game. On a side not, this title saw a release during a time when Iron Man was a second-rate superhero. It's funny how so many thought little of him compared to now where he's at the height of his popularity.
