Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron, Pegasus or Earth Pony? · 7:19pm Mar 29th, 2018

I'm going to be honest with you all right now everypony, Spirit was my all time favorite movie when I was a kid, and still is. Period point blank! I haven't seen it since I was like, seven or eight, but I have seen clips of it that have brought back so many memories of my innocence! That movie was amazing, and probably will remain the best horse movie of all time!

All praise for the movie aside, there is something that I want to know that's been on my mind for a really long time. It's with Spirit and Rain crossed over with MLP. I was wondering, which two of the three Pony Tribes would they be best fit for? The Earth Ponies or the Pegasus Ponies? Some of you may probably see them as being Unicorns, and that's perfectly okay with me if you do, but I really don't. Just...no. If any of you want my opinion, I think they would go great as Pegasus ponies, since Pegasi are my favorite creatures from Greek Mythology, which is only added by the fact that the ones in MLP can control, the weather. For Spirit, while I'm fine with him being an Earth Pony, I think he'd be even better as a Pegasus, cause he'd be able to fly, tame the weather, and be even more awesome than he is in the movie! Plus, if he he had one parent as a Pegasus and he other as an Earth Pony, he'd be able to use both of their abilities! That being his Pegasus parent's ability of flight, weather control, and control over wind and lightning, and his Earth Pony parents incredible strength, stamina, endurance, and control of the plants around him! Combine all that into one pony, and they'll grow up to be quite the formidable foe, or ally.

As for Rain...well, the reason why I think she'd be better off as a Pegasus is because I feel like it would really suit her better. Just like I can't see either her or Spirit being Unicorns, I also really can't see her as an Earth Pony either. That is only added by the fact that her name is Rain, which comes from the clouds on cloudy and stormy days, duh. Plus, naming a pony that is not a Pegasus by anything weather related is just...I don't know, it just sounds wrong to me. She'd also have the same abilities as spirit would, except both of her parents would be Pegasi and not Unicorns or Earth Ponies. I also think, on a very personal level, that Rain would look absolutely adorable with her own pair of wings! While Spirit would look like an absolute bad-ass with his!
