    Update 7/22/2020

    Good news and bad news, everybody.

    Bad news first: As A Family will be on hiatus for a while. I have a bit of writer's block going on that story, but I will get back to it when the time comes. I'm not blaming 2020 on this one; this one is on me.

    Good news: But I don't plan on harping on this year because of two reasons:

    Update 1/23/20

    First update in 2020! Okay, maybe the first update in ever. I was gone for almost a long time but was not derailed in finishing the next chapter. In fact, I was working on two chapters to two stories. The one for As a Family was done, but I was hoping to save it until I was done finishing up the next chapter to A Mare Among Dragons. I got too excited and uploaded the next chapter to As a Family;

Justice League Review · 3:24pm Mar 28th, 2018

Forgot to make a review of this movie when I saw it in the theater, but I have a DVD copy. lol. Anyway, I love this movie! (some spoilers. So read at your own risk.)

The plot is generic, but fun to watch. Villain shows up and steals something to start the apocalypse. Hey, if anything, I'll take that over a portal in the sky any day. (Looking at you Ghostbusters and Suicide Squad). But aside from the villain, the rest of it was just an enjoying ride. Had a few comedic scenes and dramatic moments. Truth be told, I loved what this movie did with Superman -- more on him later. But yeah, the movie felt like an extended episode of a new version Justice League we haven't seen on TV yet. If that actually did happen, I would be on board with that immediately. (Hell, it be better than The Inhumans. Does anyone still remember that exists? Probably not. I feel sad that I know this. lol. I kid)

The characters were fun to watch. Who to start off first? Eh, A to Z. lol.

Aquaman was just awesome. He had a few kickass moments -- especially the underwater fight scene with Steppenwolf. His personality is vastly different from the other incarnations and... I like it. He seems like the kind of person who'd love to surf; which makes a butt load of sense. No wonder some fans call him Aquabro. lol.

Batman is Batman. What can you say? He does his usual thing. He did act like a jerk in a few scenes -- especially some with Wonder Woman. I've been thinking "Dude, that woman can break your back in places not even Bane could. You're lucky she's on your side". Anyway, he was a ton of fun to watch, too. Ben Affleck as Batman is possibly way better than his role as Daredevil. (An actually Bane if you ask me. lol)

Cyborg was probably the least of my favorite of the six. He had some kickass moments like upgrading every day and being able to communicate through the Batcave system and talk to Diana. Oh, and take control of anything electronics like Batman's tank crawler. That was pretty cool. But he didn't really do anything after that aside from the third act. But he was still okay.

Flash, however, was probably the dork of all dorks. Either DC wanted to take a crack at what Marvel did with Spiderman or maybe call it a coincidence. Either way, this version of Flash was just a hoot. Like his other incarnations, he was struck by lightning and he was able to tap into the speed force. But his personality I can kind of relate to because who hasn't been socially awkward? lol. He had some pretty cool and funny moments. His scenes with Batman and Superman I liked the most because for Batman, it was like meeting a famous person face to face and you can't think of anything to say or just try and make yourself look cool but fail ultimately. With Superman, it wasn't much of a fight, but looking at the scene, Superman could match Flash's speed if he so desired and wouldn't even blink an eye. Not gonna lie, when Superman looked at Flash while Flash was running was just awesome.

Not the last, but oh well. Superman was just awesome in this movie. How he was brought back was just a scene for anyone to say "And boy does he come back". His fight with the League was just a no-brainer, because of what happened thanks to Cyborg. They try their best to bring Superman down but they all go down one by one. But it was just a ton of fun either way. Wonder Woman held her own for a bit which is another no-brainer. The banter with him and Batman was funny. But Deus Ex Machina in Lois Lane form shows up and calms things down. Admittedly, I wanted to see a little more, but that's just my inner 9-year-old talking. lol. He had some heartfelt moments later on which was cute and sweet. But when he returned in the third act to fight Stephenwolf, you bet I was excited. (Not quite as excited when I saw T-rex show up to fight I-rex, but that's a different story. lol) When he showed up, things were in the bag just like that. Superman was just awesome.

Like in her solo movie and in BvS, Wonder Woman was just as awesome is this movie. Her chemistry between the other heroes was great and her scenes were kickass -- especially in her opening scene on top of the building. (When you hear that theme song, you know it's gonna go down immediately. All in all, she's great. Probably my second favorite character in the movie.

The villain, however, could've been a little better. Steppenwolf was a CGI-bomination. As much as I loved the scenes with him fighting the league, all I saw when he was not fighting was "Ya ain't foolin' anyone, dude. There are no practical effects in your future". And all I could think of was how much of a momma's boy he was. Geez, we know you're a tough guy and all, but can you shut up about the mother box. We get it, ya miss ya momma. Honestly, I didn't really care for him. Though how he went was pretty brutal.

The soundtrack was amazing, too. Loved the end credit song. That, and Wonder Woman's theme.

I give it an 8 out 10. Probably up there with Wonder Woman and The Dark Knight. A few things that were flawed, but that didn't stop it from being a fun movie. Oh, and that after credit scene..... I nearly fan-gasmed from what I saw.
