Everyone Matters [Rough Draft] · 1:51am Mar 26th, 2018
Dialogue from a future chapter that takes place several days after the s8 premiere
Casey, sitting on top of his desk while facing his small group of "students": Alright, so as I mentioned yesterday, we're all going to talk about something that we personally own that reminds us of the person we lost in a positive way. Now, yes, it might make you feel sad once you do end up thinking about them, but that's only natural, and overtime, it'll go from a negative to a positive. So take this for an example...
He grabs a photo that's placed beside him, and shows it to everyone.
These are my parents, and this photo was taken on a night that my dad did what he always loved to do, which was sharing a slow dance with her whenever he thought the opportunity came up. Now, even though they're not with me anymore, I'm always going to remember the happiness that showed up on their faces whenever I see this-
AHEM!
Everyone in the classroom turns to see who it was that entered the classroom.
Chancellor Neighsay: What... kind of class is this exactly? And who are you?
Casey: (thinking) Oh, so this must be 'him'... (speaking) First of all, good morning to you, sir, I'm Casey, and second, I'm helping these students overcome loneliness and loss of loved ones by having them share experiences with each other, so that they can eventually form a bond of friendship, knowing that there are others aside from -
Chancellor Neighsay: Overcome? Loss? Mr. Casey... if that is your actual name... this sounds like something that is meant to take place in an institution, or a place of therapy, not an actual school.
Casey: Heh, heh... okay, um, I think you might have missed something since I didn't exactly get to finish. This is a 'school of friendship', and I'm helping these kids get to that path one step at a time-
Chancellor Neighsay: Wait, what is he doing here?
Beck: ... come again?
Casey: He's my temperary assitant and -
Chancellor Neighsay: Am I to believe that this is the pony who commited those crimes of kidnapping and acts of violence towards Princess Twilight?
Casey: Yes, but he was pardoned for those, and isn't that kind of pony anymore... now, if you don't mind, sir, you're taking up valuable class time for me and my students, so perhaps you can wait until-
POOF!
Chancellor Neighsay: Princess Twilight, I don't recall any of this being mentioned during that whole time when you first opened up this school.
Twilight: Well... it was because, at the time, he and Beck weren't here, but once they came back, I didn't see any problem with -
Chancellor Neighsay: Princess Twilight, how can whatever is being taught to these 'students' of whoever this pony is possibly be of any help when it comes to saving -
Casey: Alright, Chancellor, I don't appreciate the way that you're acting right now in my class... and I don't think the rulers of Equestria would, either.
Beck: I'll have you know Mr. Sounds-like-a-genetically-altered-lab-mouse-bent-on-world-domination, that part of the reason why I ended up doing what I did was because I didn't know the proper way to channel my anger and grief over the loss of my family. Instead of grieving them and moving on, I was bent on revenge, and I ended up wasting YEARS of my life in that dark place, and it. was. horrible. The fact that I was even capable of that astounds me when I look back on it. Princess Twilight was the one that brought me back to the light... and if there is ANY WAY that I can help somecreature not go down the path that I took, then I'm going to do it.

Twilight: Need I say more?
Chancellor Neighsay: .... don't push your luck...
He walks out of the classroom, and Twilight gives a nod at the two stallions, then smiling at the students before leaving.

Casey: What was that you called him?
Beck: I dunno. Felt right.
