I've actually got a question. What exactly is void magic in the story? I remember Noise saying that specific type of magic he used. Just curious as to why he has been the only one to use this type of magic so far. (Or maybe Alicorns can use it too. I'm not sure.)

In response, Grim Noise uses a form of dark magic that is not part of the Law of Equivelent Exchange. Rather than to draw energy from the area around him, he takes energy from the souls he consumes. The souls are then converted into raw magical energy, which is much more powerful then unicorn- or even alicorn- magic. The magic is listed as good because of this. Not even alicorns can use raw magic, it would cause their horns to explode in the very least. At worse, the magic would backfire into their bodies and kill them.

Huh, that explains a lot. So souls are considered raw magic in general. That also brings up another interesting topic. Noise is unbelievably powerful because of all these souls he consumes and the souls also make him basically near immortal. If what you say is true then he should not be able to even use this magic even if he is a demigod/alicorn or even a basic unicorn. I would assume it was impossible especially since you have the Law of Equivalent Exchange in story until he proclaimed that he was "Tartarus Itself". Is he some sort of embodiment of the actual place Tartarus in the show, or is he something else from some type of freak accident?

I'm actually implementing his origin into a later two-shot story. To put it simply, he wasn't always this powerful. It does, however, involve Tartarus.

Actually, I may have a theory what power he wields. It's like a form of Shadowmancy he uses. If you don't know what that is, it's basically a type of magic that bends shadows to your will in exchange for your soul. You can basically be a shadow and move at shadow speeds, create variety of weapons, etc. The only backfire is that once you die you become entrapped as a shadow yourself to another Shadowmancy wielder. I find this concept true with Grin Noise. All except the dying part. I theorize that he uses other souls to fuel his mortality to avoid that terrible death cost to keep his shadow powers all in order.

And you are absolutely, positively, 100% correct! Grim Noise does indeed use the souls he absorbs to lengthen his life. All without putting himself in danger since his minions bring his next victims to him. And his army is constantly growing faster than Z.O.D.I.A.C can kill them.
