Nightmare Moon's Prophecy

It's been a month, so I'll post something. I read this theory elsewhere, ICR where but it makes sense to me, so I'll repost it from Episode 1

Legend has it that on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape and she will bring about nighttime eternal!

Remember that more than 1 "her" escaped that night -including Luna
Remember that nobles, especially royalty, often have a poetic but meaningless title or 2.
If you assume that one of Luna's was "The Eternal Night" (Nox Aeterna?) THEN
the "she" obviously refers to Twilight and
The Entire Prophecy Is Accurate (if rather poetically expressed)

Which raises the question "What did Celestia know and when did she know it?"

Twilight's Cutie Mark is on the Tree of Harmony (Princess Twilight, near the end of part 2)
Ponyville is located where it is because Princess Celestia put it there. (Family Appreciation Day)
Where did that prophecy come from?
Why is the Summer Sun Celebration in a hick town like Ponyville?
Surely, the best chefs in EQ would compete for the honor of catering this event
How did a simple farm pony with no experience get the job?
How did Rarity get the job decorating? At this point in her career, surely almost no one outside Ponyville has heard of her.
How did Fluttershy get the job of entertaining?
Dash got the job clearing the weather because she's in charge of the Ponyville weather. (At least, she seems to be in charge during Winter Wrap Up)
Which raises the question "How did she get that job?" She's very young (IMO, 17 during the pilot -but that's an earlier blog) and, based on Testing, Testing, 123.. Dash likely has ADD & thus didn't do well in school. In addition, she dropped out/was kicked out of Junior Flight Camp (based on the events of The Cutie Mark Chronicles, she knocked Fluttershy to what was almost her death. If I was in charge, I'd take a DAMN dim view of that). Yet, somehow, she managed to be in charge of the Ponyville weather team.
In short, the first 5 ponies Twilight met JUST HAPPENED to be the Elements of Harmony? IMO, that's kind of pushing the limits of the word "coincidence".

Then there's the problem of Fluttershy's behavior. Sure, she's gotten better since then but look at her in Dragonshy. Now consider her behavior in the pilot. She was confronted with a super scary legend. IMO, she SHOULD have run home, hid under her bed, wet herself & died. Instead, she volunteered to go into the scariest forest in EQ after something that might or might not help (if they could find it & if a total stranger could figure out how to use it). Didn't even have to be asked, just volunteered. IMO, the most OOC thing any of them ever did in the whole series. A geas, or the Elements meddling.
