Opinions on the MLP Movie

I watched it for the first time yesterday, and went to bed shortly after.

AWESOME!

Sadly my being late to watch it meant I was spoiled for a few things (seaponies are hippogriffs), but that didn't make it any less fantastic.
The animation was stunning, the plot was engaging, the character design was fantastic, and the soundtrack was awesome, although I didn't like the opening or credits songs (that's just due to my particular taste - the ending song had a singing style I don't much like, and the opening one just wasn't my thing). My favourite is definitely Time To Be Awesome

Also, I loved the bird pirates. Two of my favourite things combined. Only way they could be more tailor-made for me would be if they had a space aesthetic

I think the best part about it was that it was fun. There are some movies that I don't enjoy enough to want to watch them again (ex: I do not like Captain America: Civil War. It was an okay movie, but it upset me. I'd only watch it again if I was either doing an MCU marathon or needed to remind myself what happened in certain scenes for fanfiction-reading/writing reasons), but this is a movie that I'm definitely going to be turning on to watch through again.

My only problem with it was that there was no mention of Discord, at all. He showed up in the credits... Was he asleep for the entire movie? I can guess why he wasn't part of the plot - too op, could probably sort things out way too easily if he took part - but there wasn't even a brief cutaway to him... doing whatever he was doing for all that time >=T
