Welcome to another installment in my Month-Long anthology which depicts specific African-American people who, in one way or another, changed the world. DISCLAIMER: The Title is misleading. I am actually going to be talking about a time honored tradition known as many different things in different cultures. Yet here in America it's known generally as Mardi Gras.

My thoughts: As this is but one of many celebrations happening around the world, I prefer the ones in both Louisiana and Michigan (although the one in Mich. isn't as intense). These carnivals are lit as f! Yet religiously, they are important in Christianity. As tomorrow begins the 40 day fasting period of Lent. For lent I am giving up spicy foods (and I love me some spicy foods)!
