Replaying the Entire Sly Cooper Games Had Me Realize Something… · 5:37am Jan 26th, 2018
(So I'm going to take a wild guess and say that exactly one person has heard of Sly Cooper, but I wanted to talk about it for a while now…LETS GO)
There's always that one level that really just makes me want to throw the controller at the wall.
Sly 1, it was the whole "Dig That Voodoo" sequence with Mz Ruby.
Sly 2 had that Ballroom Dance sequence that 7-year old me would've been reduced to a crying mess. That, and the finale battle that had me in hysterics due to how difficult it was for me.
Sly 3 had three things; first was the Photograph Mission in the first level that required you to take pictures of a moving target–with a PS2 analog stick–which wasn't made to be very precise.
There was the third level where you have to defend an objective using various traps. Usually this will reduce you to a bumbling mess.
Then there's the entire fifth mission that has you pilot a pirate ship using the left and right bumpers on the controller. You might think it was cool. But you do not know of the suffering one can go through.
And finally, Sly 4 has this mission where you do the first (Technically) 80's styled montage. It's mostly button mashing. But for a guy like me who doesn't play games that much. That section was pure hell for the first few playthroughs.
In retrospective, the Sly Cooper games are honestly one of the few game series where I can just enjoy games for what they are. In a world where platformers like Sly died off. It's refreshing to play it every now and then.

Does anyone here even know what a Sly Cooper is?
